Hats off to Newcastle and most importantly Cisse. They deserved the win today. Looks like CL final win is all we got left to stay in Europe. Again, Cisse is a wonder signing. Newcastle dumped trash in the offseason and picked up gold.

Cisse himself was like, frick it I might as well try out this. Everyone loves to hit volleys, just crazy how he outside the foot sliced it and it only peaked about 12 feet high before dipping back down.

I guess I was just looking for Cech to make more of an attempt, I get that it was unexpected, but it kinda seemed like he just threw up his arms.

People always say things like this when a keeper is off his line and is chipped. Truth is there's not much you can do, jumping while back pedaling is very difficult no keeper in the world stops that

If he was in the same position as Cech (which is likely) I don't think he'd have a chance. Cech is what 6'5? Unless Neuer is 6'8 he's never stopping that

I know, i've been in that helpless situation caught going forward or flatfooted suddenly scrambling back or trying an off balanced jump. Never really works out, just gotta hope the strike is off target.
