Looks like a lot of relegation battles this weekend.

Hopefully Chealski will choke again and PSG can perform the coup de grace on the special one and his band of a-hole douchebags next week

Maybe they can bring back Benitez

I'm just glad my team is relevant enough that I can actually be interested in what they are doing as opposed to having to derive all my enjoyment from the game on superior clubs losing.

I get plenty of enjoyment out of watching my team play (okay , maybe not last weekend). Unlike some of you shallow fans on here, I didn't pick my team solely based on winning. And last I checked everyone, even fans of super successful teams, have certain players or clubs that they just don't like so I don't see what who I root for has anything to do with it. Keep playing that tired old card though.

Yep, you picked them for the noble reason that Bill Simmons told you to.

You are clearly the most superior fan here.

I would concede that crown to TN Bhoy, but I accept the #2 spot on that list

What is their respond with? You picked a team based on an article written by a guy who knows nothing about soccer, arguably the worst reason out of anyone I've seen on here. Further, in doing so you ensured the primary enjoyment you would get out of your fandom was bragging that the team you picked sucks the most.

Congrats I guess.

Did you read the article? It's not his suggestions, it's all reprinted suggestions by readers who do know a lot about soccer.

There are plenty of people on here who root for clubs worse than Newcastle. Hell there is a whole crew of Leeds fans.

Maybe, but you seem to be the only one who wears it as a badge of honor.

Not really, I just don't like people who pick teams for shallow reasons, and if you picked a team like Chelsea there's a 90% chance you did it for a shallow reason. If you were like 7 years old like StraightCash was for ManU that's an exception.

If watching Michael Essien, knowing nothing about club soccer, in the 06 WC and finding out he played for Chelsea and thus liking them is shallow so be it.

I actually tried to be a Liverpool fan but that didn't last.
