Not that I watch a whole lot of MLS, but this is one of the more entertaining MLS matches I've ever seen.

You should watch RSL - SJ tonight. I'd wager that one will be better than this match.

Ned Grabavoy, minus the willingness to at least do token work on defense.

There's a Help Board thread where that's needed.

If you have MLS Live, watch the NY/Col match. Skip ahead to 17:00:00 when the video feed cuts out.

The ref in this SKC match is trying his hardest to not call any fouls.

I don't want to see our back line next week with DeMichelis and Lescott. Luckily it's Fulham.

What is Nastasic's problem this year? He was great last year.

There's been some injury issues but I think Natasic larger issue has been the change in tactics.

Pelligrini's more aggressive tactics than Manicini's demand that City CBs now

1) pick out more difficult passes since City pushes players further up the pitch quicker without an extra "safe" pass option

2) in addition to picking out more difficult passes the CBs are also asked to often drive the ball forward when the passing lanes are cut off

3) Mancini employed much more defensive coverage for his CBs meaning they were able to keep the game in front of them and had to defend after being turned much less often

Nastasic hasn't looked comfortable at all in adapting to this different role, whereas I agree that he was superb for Mancini.

In fact, Montella (the Fiorentina coach who ok'd the sell of Nastasic to City when he took over) this about Nastasic fitting Mancini's tactics better than his own (which are similar to Pelligrini's) at the time of the deal.

You can see why DeMichelis (for all his problems) is also preferred to Lescott in this same regard and even why Javi Garcia was tried out at CB early in the season.

In short, Nastasic may figure it out with time but in the meantime expect City to bring in at least a starting CB option this summer to pair with Kompany and expect it to be a "modern" "ball playing" defender.
