A little about the Champions League fixtures I mentioned yesterday. Up through this round (third qualifying round), the TV rights are owned by the clubs and are theirs to sell as they see fit. The global TV deal (Fox in the US) kicks in with the final round of qualifying (Playoff round). For Europa League, this global deal begins in the group stage.

As such, we're left to Internet streams in the US. However, all but two are available on a very solid website, LAOLA1.tv. They broadcast all sorts of things including some of these qualifiers. The other games shouldn't be hard to find online somewhere, especially Astana-Celtic as it has been picked up in Europe by Premier Sports. Note that LAOLA requires a subscription for HD quality. Non-HD feeds are free.

Good start from Celtic but they concede on 19 minutes. Astana corner, Logvinenko gets in front of Craig Gordon and heads home.

1-0 to the Borats.

Celtic finally manage an effort on goal, and Leigh Griffiths bangs it in from 20. Away goal in the bag, and it's 1-1.

Not very nice

FT:

Astana 1-1 Celtic
Rosenborg 2-1 APOEL
Astra 1-1 Copenhagen

75':
Fenerbahçe 2-1 Monaco
Trencin 0-1 Legia Warsaw

60':
Olympiacos 0-0 Hapoel Be'er Sheva

At this point, 2-0 is the biggest runaway in any tie (two ties from yesterday). Next week's matches should be quite intriguing.

Tune in to watch Freddy Adu barely scrape into the match-day 18 and then not get used as a sub!

Looks like a pretty good crowd considering the big names that aren't playing. Even the upper deck seemed to have a lot of people in seats though there are some scarce sections.

David and Franck even assist each other. This is true love.
