But they weren't outspending the teams in front of them. All the spending we did was because we had sold someone else for that much. Our net money in versus money out on transfers was pretty flat.

Name a manager who could do a better job with Wenger's assets. He's not perfect. But he's been invincible and his record of getting us to CL is impeccable. Especially when the handcuffs were on. They're not any more and we have two Cups in two years to show for it.

Or they think that because we are good now we were good between 2006 and 2012. We had some absolutley awful teams during that period. Our strategy was basically to rely on Wenger and other teams to falter.

Jose. Who won two UCL trophies in that period with lesser squads than Wenger had during those seasons.

Which squad? That Porto team was loaded and poached, and Inter some superb players. Eto'o, Sneijder, and a couple of others were better than players we had. Let's not pretend the teams Wenger had were loaded. Lots of potential but hampered by injuries.
