I'm pretty sure Iheanacho has more appearances this season than all of Chelsea's academy graduates do
good thing he isn't a City youth product

He's an academy graduate and has only played for Manchester City club wise.
Sorry he was born in Nigeria and didn't start playing for a club before he was like five.

When you buy the player of the tournament from the U-17 world cup he isn't a youth product. If he didn't have work permit issues he would have been in the first team right away.

quote:Meh. The game was much closer than the score line. If not for two absolutely awful decisions from the goalkeeper, it could have been a different outcome. That said, Chelsea's youth is amazing. So it's not exactly surprising City lost. Still City have made the FA Cup Final 2 years in a row now. So the progress is good.
Chelsea won the FA youth cup crushed City 3-1 tonight 4-2 on agg

Those Chelsea kids are good, really good.

Still wont see the first team but will be good for other clubs. As long as the academy turns out quality players for someone its good for the English game.

Ian Wright ripping Pep for not starting Muller

Chelsea and United youth right now are a cut above the rest. Those two academies have dominated the English youth set up the last 5 years.

Calderón was rocking today...great atmosphere.
I think Pep went full-Pep and tinkered with the XI too much, especially w/ Müller...but Atletico earned that win. Good for them, and hopefully we can find some München magic next week.

I will say this, Chelsea youth have some quality names.

Davenport looks like he'll be a really solid player for a non-City English side. He was really good in both games.

What could have been, eh Cap?
Munich is going to be very tough for Atleti with only a goal. At least they kept a clean sheet.

I think Chelsea needs to hire LvG to get their youth players some chances.

A little less power and it curls home, I really hope it doesn't bite them... I predict an early Greizmann goal in Munich and it ends 1-1. Bayern grabs an 80th minute goal but Atletico absorbs a massive late onslaught and oblak saves our asses

It was the 2nd shot that should have been put in. If it comes back to bite them, that's the one that will hurt.

Well yeah, Bayern has had the ball the entire game and a bunch of great opportunities that didn't go in.
The Pepification of Bayern is complete.
