Exactly. We have some needs but even through injury we've been alright. Aguero missed time. KDB, Silva, and Kompany have missed quite a bit of time. That is arguably 4 of our best players missing not games, but weeks. Zaba, Sterling, Clichy, and ESPECIALLY Nasri were missed as well. We're 4th in the league and alive in the CL semis. Not saying we don't have a few needs but we've done well considering injuries and Pellegrini's tactical daftness.

The only BIG need I see is CM and it looks like Gundogan will be the guy there.

Zenit pain train, full speed ahead.

They're coming like a freight train from hell.

yeah and he's going to do wonders in lots of ways that help on the field but won't show up on the score sheet. like a very poor man's xavi. that upgrade from the fernand-x midfield is going to be great. i love yaya but he's way too direct for that system and i hope he does well in italy next year

To be fair, Fernandinho has had some really good games this season and the "two ferns" lineup has been extremely solid in CL play. Fernando hasn't been horrible. He has had his moments, but if we're replacing one of the two he's the one to go.

Agreed. I see him as a situational super sub for Pep, nothing more. Look at today. He did nothing in defense but he did a good job starting the counter and defended well on a couple of corners. He just doesn't have the discipline or work rate Pep will require.

Poor Pep how will he possibly manage being forced to play all these scrubs at City?

Napoli was robbed. Juventus cheated again. They gave Inter soccer balls that only go into Away teams nets. When will Italy and their FA put a stop to Juventus cheating ways.

Sincerely,

Napoli Players and their knob jobbing fans.

No way

Defensively City is still in shambles and Pep likes playing out the back and building up play.

I wouldn't say we're in 'shambles', but it can certainly improve.

Tied for 3rd in goals conceded and in shambles defensively. Got it.

Bc you have the England #1 back there. Hart is a great shot stopper but as a technical player is not what Pep likes. He is not good with the ball at his feet and Pep wants that in his Gk to start play from the back.

You have 70+ million in average CB's who both are not good enough with the ball at their feet either.

None of what you said indicates City has a defense in shambles.

A great GK can cover for an average defense

He has the most clean sheets in the league

I remember as the season started and while all of the De Gea transfer stuff was going on pretty much this entire board said Joe Hart was shite.

Funny how he's playing at a higher level than anyone else in the league now.

People like to just lulz at Hart at his frick ups but I don't remember anyone on here saying he's shite. He was on a bad run of form last year. Him and DDG are both big and extremely athletic shot stoppers. Just DDG is way better with the ball at his feet and would be perfect for Pep's system.

I wouldn't say he's been on a higher level than DDG just yet bc Dave has straight up stole points.

As he did last year, yet the story way how great Vinnie and Co. were. If City's defense is in shambles then Hart is a fricking God.

Well, no shite. Pellers could have won the league this season were it not for all of the injuries. I've never seen so many major injuries to prominent players on any team in any sport ever.
