Well yea it’s definitely denial of goal scoring opportunity
He even lifted his leg to trip him afterwards.

quote:That falls into a gray area for me. I think TAA initially slid in an attempt to block the initial shot, so he was making a play on the ball. The continuation of the play and slide led to the foul. I think the penalty and a yellow for TAA would have been fair.
Rebecca just said an official said it should have been a red one TAA.

I'm obvious biased, just repeating what an EPL official said.

ref on the pitch took 2 seconds to make his mind up
i just don’t get it, Luiz gets a red for accidentally clipping a Wolves player, not sure if var was used
after the play all i heard was refs made the call because it was black and white in the rule book
but taa purposely trips a player in the box, doesn’t get a card and refs didn’t even think about giving a card after 2 second var
the standard isn’t the same across the league

Liverpool have now had more negative VAR decisions (11) this season than any Premier League team during the whole of last season
(h/t @DaleJohnsonESPN)
Announce at least 9 more against them this season.

Is it really a negative VAR decision if it’s the correct decision
The English media holding the water for the one of the worst title defenses ever

If you want real entertainment
Read the comments from Liverpool fans on Sport Bible IG or Facebook with their post about the ref.
Man dunno what planet some of them are on, and when a sane Liverpool fan says it’s a pen they get shat on lol

Don’t know why anyone wants to make excuses
We’ve had bad luck with injuries and that’s impacted our defending, but Alisson and Trent have been shite for the most part, and our front 3 has sucked except for Salah occasionally pulling something out of his arse
Saw a stat the other day that we were down like 5 chances created per match or something crazy like that.
Obviously we’re in shambles, but kinda crazy Diogo Jota has probably been our best attacker this season

Crazy stat for you
The front three has not scored a goal from open play at home in 2021
Only pens

If Henderson and Kabak had lasted beyond half time, they’d have recorded the longest continuous streak for a Liverpool CB partnership this season. As it is, the record remains 2.5 matches (Phillips and Henderson). Partnership #18 for the season is up and running.

Last season, Liverpool had van Dijk + another senior CB (Gomez, Lovren or Matip) on the field for 87% of the minutes. Any combination of those four players for 90%.
We really did make a deal with the devil last season
