Neither his comparison nor your reply made any sense to me.

Woke up late and just finished the game. That was awesome. Super Frank

Hope Hazard's injury isn't serious.

the point is to approximate the relative value of the titles using rough american comparisons so uncultured posters such as TB can understand what he's talking about.

But to call it the "NIT" is just as "uncultured."

Long as he's ready for preseason it's all good. I still can't believe some bozo scheduled us to play two completely worthless games in America a couple of days after the season ends. A season in which we set a PL record for most games played. So stupid.

Huge save by McMath in the 95th minute to keep the Union up 1-0 ... and Beckerdreads gets his 1st goal of the season and gives RSL a 2-1 lead in the 78th minute.

Union wins 1-0.

ETA: The Impact answer with a Di Vaio goal in the 80th minute.

Ferrari scores off a corner in the 93rd minute to give the Impact a 3-2 lead. RSL just let the ball bounce twice in the box off the corner. Wow!

The half volley by the Fire and save by Macmath was awesome.

Did anyone else watch the finish to Porto and Benfica? Incredible.

From 101greatgoals LINK:
quote:

Porto 2 – Benfica 1 (Liga Sagres, May 11, 2013) Benfica struck first blood when Lima scored a screamer in the 19th minute. Porto were behind for a matter of minutes before Silvestre Varela levelled with a deflected cross in the 25th. As injury time ticked over Kelvin drilled a left-footed shite into the far corner to propel Porto into 1st place, a point above Benfica, as the Eagles collected their first defeat of the season.

Funny fact from the BBC:
quote:

COMPARISON: Wigan Athletic Starting XI Cost: £11 million. Gareth Barry Cost Man City: £12 million.

Whitecaps go up 1-0 on the Galaxy in the 2nd half. Where did the Galaxy's offense go?

ETA: And Teibert bags another for the Caps.
