This DeBruyne deal has gone to straight chaos over the last 30 minutes

Are you referring to the press conference at the awards presentation?

Yes. Now his agent is supposedly mad about the interview given at the presentation.

Apparently, just forget the past couple hours existed and continue on from there.

That and Wolfsburg's backpedaling. This is getting funny.

Lol yeah, it seems KDB didn't actually say that he was staying with his own words. A reporter apparently asked him to repeat that and he didn't know what he was saying.

It's getting crazy as frick haha.

A CB rotation of Kompany/Mangala/Otamendi would be extremely stout.

If City have an opportunity to get better why not take it?

So Otamendi takes the starting spot next to Vincent right?

More than likely, but I still think Mangala will start a fair amount of games. Demichelis will probably fill the role of the late game sub to preserve a lead. I imagine there is also some worry as to the long-term health of Kompany's hamstrings.

I don't think so, especially not immediately. Both Kompany and Mangala are riding yellow cards so I say you ride that out until one of them or both is suspended or a cup game rolls along. They could also maybe let Kompany "rest" after a few games.

As of now, Mangala is still the most expensive BPL defender ever. Can't bench that as of yet I don't think.

You don't spend 40 mil on a player to have them ride the pine. Then again, city isn't normal.

Is Kolorov a starter this year?

He looks the part thus far, but I think Clichy would have been first choice had he been fit versus West Brom. Usually Kolarov gets caught too far forward, but Sterling's pace and somewhat mediocre defensive work rate has worked surprisingly well thus far.

I like Kolarov when he's playing. I think he's extremely dangerous on the overlap and is an absolute monster on free kicks.

they'll probably rotate. Those two LBs come in and out of form out of nowhere. Can't trust either of them. I prefer Kolorav out there though. Hope he keeps this up.

With the way Kompany played last year, I hope he doesn't get too comfortable. He also wasn't great in the first game defensively. Mangala has been fantastic. I don't think Otamendi comes in immediately to start, but I do expect him and Kompany to be the CL CBs.

I didn't realize this... Underrated aspect of this transfer.

Also, I just realized the same person down voting all our posts are also down voting all United's posts. I don't feel important anymore.

Lol I know. Just ultimately bombarding Porto players in our back four.

I hope that defensive triangle was worth a shite.

Edit: It's too bad Sandro decided to go to Juve instead of waiting for City on a free. We could have had Porto reunions at the Etihad.
