Well I'm sure you wouldn't feel it was below Liverpool if we had pulled a stunt regarding Wilshire that essentially had him saying he won't play for you til you trade him. Whatever dude you're in the pool thread. If you don't want to hear scorn they deserve run back to the arsenal thread and talk about Jessie taking caffeine pills and how it shaped your childhood.

the Dempsey thing is my main bone of contention. BR and Henry talking shite on us is like Meyer criticizing Miles for Hill's punishment.
I think you make some assumptions on what happened, but fair enough. my assumptions are in the opposite direction so probably no use discussing
I just think, even if taken in the most scheming way possible, our bid didn't unsettle him. if there was scheming he was unsettled. if we're mere pawns to his plan the damage was done and the decision to move had already been made.

yo homie, I've gone through that already. cesc and rvp both went on strike. hell even Song was being an a-hole to force his way out, hence the quick deal.
if wilshere did that, I'd feel despondent, though not as much as I did the past two summers.
and again, we didn't cause suarez to pull any stunts. he wanted out at the end of last year.

explain to me how your opinion that pere showed us the contract and told us what to do meshes with that?
how did our bid late in the summer have him strongly hinting at wanting to leave early in the summer?

and to clarify, certainly this saga hasn't been optimal for your team pre-season preparation. but Suarez is the one trying to force his way out. we're just the only sucker out there at the moment who wants him and fits his seemingly shifting criteria.

Guardiola tells Arsenal to bid £40m. Arsenal does; LFC rejects. Guardiola then tells Arsenal to bid £1 over to activate the "clause." Arsenal does; LFC rejects. Suddenly Suarez is giving "tell all" interviews bashing our manager and management for lying to him and unfairly forcing him to stay, completely alienating himself from the club.
If you don't think Guardiola's bitch move was the first domino in all of this, then I have no intention discussing it with you. Suarez wants to play CL, but until Arsenal entered the picture because of Guardiola, leaving England was all he discussed.
FWIW Dempsey had told Fulham he wanted to move as well.

I think the only BPL team I'd want to sell to would possibly Chelsea, for Mata + cash. Otherwise, I'd tell Arsenal to eff off and shop him out of the country.

I don't care that you unsettled him. I care (well I really don't care that much, as I said) that there is potential collusion to get the player to move on the cheap. Its not illegal. Its just shady, ruthless, and disrespectful. But again, its a business. These things happen in business. This is why I'm not angry, just surprised Arsenal acted that way.

Where to, though? Most of the UCL clubs that could afford him don't need a striker. RM would be a possibility, but it's conceivable he rots until January.
