Sounds like Gudmundsson should be done in time for Monday. Still need a few more in. Need a GK, a CM (Stach?), a Solomon replacement, a striker, and hopefully a 10 or attacking 8 which feels like the new left back situation. And with all these tall guys we’re signing it would be nice if a new recruit had some set piece delivery skills.

If they get Longstaff for 10 million I don’t think that is bad at all, but if Newcastle keep trying to push higher move on

Yea he has experience and will raise the floor of the squad but he’s kind of peaked and won’t have much sell on value. I would take him like you said if the bidding stops now but hopefully we don’t overpay since he only has 1 more year of contract.

Looks like the Longstaff deal is getting close at the price mentioned above. Three year contract so probably one they see to help get them through these tough years and then move on.

Folks on twitter saying progress was made over night for Milinkovic-Savic that big 6’8” keeper as well

They’re clearly feeding Beren and the YEP boys the “a number of GKs” line for whatever reason. Maybe they think it will help in fee negotiations since that’s one area other clubs know we are obviously approaching from a position of weakness.

Side note, I wish they had the guy from acid FC do the kit with low fields. He did an amazing job with the peacock year. This one just looks like last year’s kit with a little low fields slapped on.
However, I do like the training gear this year.
I’m hoping the rumored blue away kit hits like the yellow smiley last year, and intrigued to see what the rumored black kit would look like.
