re: Leeds United 2024-25 Season-long thread: League = pissed. Dirty Leeds are back baby!

Yeah I’m not expecting a total collapse like last year just yet although I’m not ruling it out. My concern is that we come back to Earth, lose another game, draw a couple, and the other two just decide to go on a Leicester/Ipswich run over the last 10 games.
Burnley is starting to score goals and that worries me.

Hope this millwall game isn’t this year’s version of last year’s blackburn game.
I was at ER for that one. You just had a feeling that Szmodics would score the winner as the match dragged on without any semblance of an attack by us. A terrible match.
The Dingles and Blunts have a much more difficult road than we have but both are in form right now. I think 7-8 wins from the last 10 get us promoted.

If anyone could bottle it with these fixtures it would be Leeds.

Very reminiscent of last year - in the autos, easy run-in… ((this year is a little different with us, in my opinion, having the best team in the Champo and the teams around us not being as good))

Rumors swirling that Leeds and Kalvin have agreed on a return this summer if relegation is achieved
Not sure how I feel about that, he was great under Bielsa but hasn’t been the same since leaving
Where would he even fit in the system Farke deploys, assuming of course the 49ers don’t replace him this summer as well

As I posted on a Leeds page: if that is the extent of our ambition upon promotion then we will go straight back down. I wouldn't even sign him as a squad player.

Looks like USMNT has decided Brenda’s form has sucked as well and is not on the international break roster

Get in you baggies!!!
Swift puts west brom up 1-0 on 20 minutes, on a hell of a fine free kick

Followed up by the baggie keeper dropping the ball on a save for a Burnley tap in
1-1
Oh well turning this off to get some stuff done

So Burnley drop points and tBlunts just allowed an equalizer in the 90th minute, 6 minutes of added time there though
So far so good for Leeds

Blunts are in first for the time being. Three points against the pikeys tomorrow, please.

Man has kalvin been so bad that he wouldn’t even be a decent squad player for Leeds? What a fall he’s had the past few years.
Has to sting a little for BA - when was the last time he’s been left off the USMNT?
Great results for Leeds today. Gotta capitalize tomorrow. Would love to stay 3+ points from 3rd.

Kalvin at least would bring some physicality to the midfield which we would need. If BA starts tomorrow i may actually melt.

The site that's reporting it is not reliable and 20m quid for a bench player is lunacy. No way he would start over a healthy Ampadu or Tanaka. I liked KP but he chose to leave and his career has stagnated as a result. No thanks. As for Aaronson, he's hit a wall. Time to sit him and maybe give Largie or Willy a go in that spot. Hell, play Rothwell or Tanaka farther up the pitch and let Gruev sit deeper.

Yea i definitely wouldn’t want it at that price. And the club need to be more ruthless and forward thinking with recruitment (starting in goal!!!) and hopefully they are. The Kalvin move would have made more sense had we gone up last season.
