Longer term he was a midfielder that wouldn’t need an immediate upgrade upon promotion and is someone you could have built around in the Prem. Now he’ll be at Brentford who you’ll be competing with in the bottom half most likely.

Hopefully waccoe is like tRant after a loss or when something bad happens and everyone just comes out of the woodwork with sources saying everything is completely crumbling.

There are a handful of posters there who actually know stuff including that guy. I lurked last night and a different guy was saying he was also hearing the “pushed out” rumors. I don’t really buy it but it feels like a Ken Bates era move to just sell him off to any club. There’s 3-4 other players who could solve the psr situation (which depending on who you believe is either legit or nonexistent) so selling a legacy academy grad is a tough sell to the fans since we’ve seen this so many damn times over the years with Woodgate, Smith, Milner, Lennon, Delph, Howson, Mowatt, Cook etc (Phillips was kinda a different situation)
Im not melting like TSB lads just yet (thank goodness moscow isn’t there for this one
) but if this goes through it better be on Gray’s terms. Im also happy for cresswell because i feel like we’ve handled both him and Joffy pretty poorly the last 1-2 years.

I’m also a little surprised by the meltdown of the others, everyone has talked about it being a possibility since the season ended. It isn’t ideal and there are several others I would rather be sold instead, but they had to make a sale and it was always on the table.

I think it hits home a little more for some that he’s randomly going to brentford as opposed to city, Liverpool etc. Money is money at the end of the day.
Like i said though seeing as how their model is similar to Brighton we could come out even better in a couple years if they include a 10-15% sell on.
I just hope we haven’t pissed off the Grays because Harry is supposed to be even better

Well, woke up early today for travel and the Brentford bid has been rejected. Spurs and Chelsea still in the mix.
