TSB guys mentioned something along the lines of the release clauses maybe having an expiration date of sorts that could be upcoming and would help clarify the squad, where they still need to buy, etc. Did I understand that correctly or is that a thing?

And the P&S stuff looks at the entire year right? If they’re worried about sales happening before incomings couldn’t they just risk it, buy like half of what they need now, and then have a fire sale in January if the books aren’t sorted by the end of this month?

My goodness the old board was so stupid, he just signed a new deal while we were struggling in a relegation battle but they still had this out loan clause in it

Edit: can’t wait for Labor Day weekend to put this terrible stretch behind us

Atalanta was one of the Italian clubs after Willy but they’ve just signed our old pal De Ketelaere on loan

It just hit me that we still have over two weeks left in the window and 44 more games of this shite season to go.

Bournemouth in for Tyler today

Edit: all I want is for us to actually get a win in august with this patch work of a side. It’s been to damn long since we have won a match.

Graham says we still want to keep Sini and Tyler, we’re back in for Kamara and have bid on a striker

The thought of trotting out that pathetic lineup again on Friday is giving me ebola

I think MOT mentioned earlier and I saw Graham mention it as well that a cutoff was approaching for these relegation loan clauses.

Would be great if it was sooner rather than later so that way we know if someone leaves we are getting funds for it.

Maybe it will be this weekend so we have two weeks to work the market to fill in for whoever left

If Adams goes to Bournemouth we should get Lewis Cook to come home

I would like Tyler to stay because that would be one less incoming needed but at this point it seems like he’s the only one that can be sold to get any decent money.

As it stands I think they need 5-6 players in at a bare minimum, but probably more like 8-9 depending on who else leaves and in order to have some semblance of depth.

Striker is required
CAM is required
Winger is required (due to Summy injury and assuming Gnonto has no way back)
Another winger if Sini leaves
DM if Tyler leaves
LB is required
CB…maybe okay assuming LB is addressed?

I understand why the players have the clauses (and I’m assuming they’re put in to attract better talent who might otherwise not come without it?) BUT it’s crazy and frustrating to me that the same players who played like shite all last year can then just walk away and watch the place burn. Like at least stick it out one year in Championship to try and make things right. *steps off soap box*

If Hjelde is out then add another CB to my list for depth.

He had a couple rough outings at LB but then you remember he’s really a CB. Still like him.

I would just like to wake up one day with good news from Phil and Graham instead of reports on who is leaving now, or recycled reports on why everyone is leaving from the “breaking news” guys who just repackage what Phil and Graham already shared.

Sounds we will have another pretty thin squad on Friday but Farke said things should ease up next week in that regarding.

Implies releases clauses are passing and potential incomings, hopefully that light isn’t a train at the end of the tunnel.
