Somebody please make a compelling argument for zonal marking over man marking.

zonal marking
It has gone downhill over the last year or so. Used to love reading it.

You're a Chelsea fan right? Well it makes Arsenal easier to beat. Uh... That's all I got.

On corners? I prefer zonal marking, but everyone has to be on the same page. Don't leave big gaps anywhere. You're less likely to get picked by a set play because you really don't care where the other players are going. The only thing that matters is the ball. Your teammates are less likely to be moving quickly toward your own goal, which lowers the chance of an own goal.

I don't post too much, mostly lurk. But I'm on mobile 99% of the time and just wanted to express how annoying the olympics board is cause it fricks up the spot I usually click for the SB

Zonal works if everybody is on the same page and not asleep.
But at the same time it can create shite matchups for the defense.
But my thing is, why at the professional or any level do teams not keep guys on the posts? It makes no sense at all. When the ball goes out, push up. If not, you got the area the keeper can't get to, covered.
