Maybe not on this board specifically but every other "soccer fan" I meet is a Man U fan in the USA. WSE you're definitely one of the good ones but surely you can understand some of the anti man u fan sentiments.

When the season rolls back around watch some of the games. Like other posters have said, eventually you'll develop an affinity for a club or two.

Watch the Americans play overseas. Cheer for them.... It's really easy to root for them to succeed.

You may end up liking the team that they play for, or one of the opponents may catch your eye.

Oh, and watch the Seattle Sounders/Portland Timbers play this weekend.

Odd. I find more freaking Liverpool, Arsenal, and Barcelona fans that I do Man U fans. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

Jersey numbers? 7 is generally a left winger and the 10 is the playmaker.

Thanks. I thought like 7 was best scorer or something.

That might help. Of course different teams play different formations.

1. Make sure you get Fox Soccer
2. Cheer for Man City (nearly all their games will be on FSC)
3. Enjoy back to back titles

soccer is in fact on cable, constantly.

pick an American pro team, and a team in the English premier league, and you will be able to watch them on TV without any trouble.

IMO: the South American tournament going on now for spots in the World Cup is the best thing going.
You can at least read about it on the internet so when the World Cup happens, you know some of the teams and players.

If you are not getting soccer on your TV, change cable providers.

If you're high school has a team or you have any relatives that play on a high school team, watch a couple of their games. Those can be very fun to watch from time to time if it's a game between two fairly evenly matched teams.

A lot of the BR area schools play their games at either Independence Park or at Burbank park.

High school season is still a few months away though.
