He's a little too monotone but he is definitely not a bore. He is one of the few major American athletes that isn't afraid to say what he feels. He is very candid.

He has some interesting things to say. He just always looks like Ricky Bobby in his interview where he's confused about what to do with his hands. He has a deer in headlights look to him. It's a lot like Tim Howard where you can tell that they know what they're talking about, but they're not television personalities yet. They're football players. They're monotone and seem a little uncomfortable at times.
I can see a future where he and Tim lock down the booth, and the entire nation falls asleep and subconsciously learns the intricacies of the game in their sleep. Actually, maybe that's exactly what we need to get people on board. We'll brainwash them.

He's so guarded when he isn't in his element. He has personality, but seems a little shy, speaking-wise, when it comes to the big stage.

He's extremely sheepish when he speaks sometimes. Very polite. He was saying things like "Yes, sir" and "No, sir" to Conan when he went on. If he got past that a little bit, it'd definitely be... informative. That is, until he gets the cohost to beatbox and starts to drop a freestyle in the booth. They'd cut to him, and his big arse eyes would be staring to America's soul as he drops cuts a mixtape on national television.
To clarify, I'm not saying he should be polite and say those things. It's just something that you're not used to hearing from a superstar athlete.

Donovan is monotonic and subdued which doesn't translate well to the aesthetics of television. But he gives thought to everything that he says. It can't even be argued that he isn't one of the most candid athletes in all of sports. He is a sports' journalists dream because he is not afraid to say what's on his mind.

I completely agree. He's extremely candid. He was pretty informative in his small segments this Summer. I just would rather it be left at that until he gets more comfortable.

This has Photoshop all over it. Now I'm just trying to come up with an array of backgrounds to put in front of for a nice "Not Amused" gif.
Alright, guys. I give the gift of a beautiful waterfall of unamused Donovan sources in four convenient sizes, including fun avatar size, for you to use as you see fit. If you do use them, don't copy them and paste them or they won't retain their transparency. Got to save 'em and then open them within Photoshop or whatever. Feel free to put this guy in as many things as possible. I'll also do my best on a few LD requests if anyone wants a sig or avatar before the match.
