IF they really want a new rule, how about: if players need a stretcher in the last 10 mins, they can't reenter. If they are really hurt, they won't re enter anyway, and if they're just being typical Mexicans/Italians/Argentinians/etc...then they'll eventually stop the BS

or....just stop the fricking clock. Put it on the big board. Boom...welcome to sports.

I've seen it proposed before, but the general audience of any game should see the amount of stoppage time accrued throughout the game. That way, there isn't an arbitrary determination of stoppage time by the ref.

This seems such a simple way to ease whatever frustrations fans seem to have about time wasting.
Simply be more consistent and transparent with added stoppage time.

I've certainly seen Roma v Atalanta matches where 6 second half subs, 3 injury stoppages and 12 Roma corners and free kicks resulted in only 3 minutes added time when Roma enjoyed a 1 goal lead.

On the other the hand, I've seen 4 minutes added after 3 subs and no injuries and few corners or free kicks when Roma led Juve by a goal.

However, I'm really not that bothered by time wasting at all (just like I'm not bothered in American football by teams that bleed the play clock to shorten the game).

It's all part of the drama for me and get-it-absolutely-perfect precision at the possible expense of the overall dynamic of a match seems a slippery slope.

That's it. Stop the fricking clock. or have an added time clock that rolls every time it needs to. Let everyone see how much time is being wasted and how much will be added.
