Look man, you're a red so when push comes to shove I have your back. But that doesn't mean I can't talk about how you're so negative about your fandom and how unrealistic I think it is. Surely you can agree that your general overview is pretty unrealistic.

All I'm saying is you're going to get shite for being so negative from us. And its not going to stop until you start showing up from out of the woodwork for the wins as well as the losses. That doesn't mean I dislike you as a person, or am trying to be disrespectful. We make fun of everyone on here. Hell these idiots are jealous of my gorgeous thighs and make fun of me every time I show up at Finns with my short shorts on. Its gonna happen.

We have midweek discussions where we talk about tactics/lineups that you never add anything to. That would help change your perception a lot.

and i read each and every single one of them…. most of them are very good, and some of them not so much…

it doesn't change my "perception"…. the reality is we should be better than we are, but we aren't, and i see them leaving alot of points for the table out there and that infuriates me…. it sucks to see, and subsequently to have to type, but no one else i know gives a frick about soccer, so i kinda have to come here to vent….

The club is trying to catch up to the modern game, it has passed us by in the past 5 years.

exactly. Rafa fricked it up, Woy was trying, went to slow, King was brought in, spent too much on nothing, yet still managed a little talent, now owners have gone with youth.

the REALITY is that you will be better for this. Why are you such a sore loser who can't fricking see any sunshine? I didn't know Liverpool fans complained this much? ridiculous for a club who have won 41 trophies or whatever. Just because you are LIVERPOOL does not mean you are entitled to anything.

Honestly, that's what you're sounding like. It's kind of embarrasing

Now, now the opinions of most Pool fans is yes, he is a god. But certainly the internet chatter in 2009-2010 was much much more barbaric.

Rafa did his part, but it will always be tough to judge his later days because of Hicks. He knew what young talent was, and he brought in some incredible players, but there were also absolute head scratchers brought in during his regime (some say the owners brought them in - who knows).

One thing is for sure, he loves Liverpool Football Club.

you can "expect" whatever you want, but when we suck, i'm going to say we suck…. if you are correct and all of these signings work out and we start winning games, challenging in the PL/Europe and we get back to being a world class team, i have no problem pointing out how good we are…. none at all…

i have just as much passion for my club whether they are winning or losing, but i'm also not afraid to say how good or bad i think they are doing, simply put… trust me, when they turn it around, you'll see me being "positive"… until then, i'm going to call it like i see it….

I was one of the only people who went to bat for him. I still am one of the only ones to this day. I am certainly in the minority.

Also, I think if chxris talked football with me in person he would understand how reasonable I am. I know when we play well, and I know when we play poorly. I can tell when someone is carrying his own weight, and when someone is not. Our approach to talking about it is just very different online.

same here to the first point, and on the second….

couldn't have said it better myself…

our approach is totally different, and that's fine with me…. i will respect your viewpoint, no matter how much i may think otherwise, and hopefully you do the same…. i know it may be tough to see "we suck, or we aren't good" after losing a game in here, but it's equally tough for me to see "well, at least _____ played with good presence" or some other insignificant bullshite that's a "feel-good" statement in an effort to curb the sting of the loss by eternal optimist….. i manage to see it for what it's worth, whoever's opinion, and i don't go getting all personal and making attacks….

Its not me, its the ethos of the club and decades of history.

I look forward to that day.

I specifically remember when he would rub his face really really hard as fast as he could. It was like some weird form of masturbation. Freaks me out to this day.

it was like he couldn't even believe how bad it was. Roy was done when he "admitted" that Liverpool was in a relegation battle.

absolutely!!! i ENCOURAGE it!!! i just don't want any "personal" attacks (not saying you did, in fact, i can't remember who did now…. i would look it up, but it's water under the bridge at this point, going forward….)

like i've said, i'm tolerant to the "optimistic" point of view, even though, after a tough loss, that's the last shite i want to read… i don't want to see the "Kumbaya", "We are the World" rah-rah bullshite, but hey, it's posted…. i get it… that's what some of you do to rally… and that's fine….

i do the opposite… i point out our flaws, i stew over it, and then i come back the next weekend, hoping for a different outcome (even if it's a foolish thing to do….)

hopefully, i've sorta at least given ya'll a feel of where i'm coming from… my percieved "negativity" isn't from a mean spirit, or a want for them to do bad… it's quite the opposite… it's from a want for them to do great, but their failure to do so….

quote:

Surely you can agree that your general overview is pretty unrealistic.

my overview? or do you mean my expectations? just need clarification before i can comment….
quote:

All I'm saying is you're going to get shite for being so negative from us.

that's cool, provided it's not below the belt and obviously uncalled for…. considering i will give the same respect to any and all of you, that's all i can ask in return….

quote:

And its not going to stop until you start showing up from out of the woodwork for the wins as well as the losses.

i have a 6 month old, as well as work, and a wife…. i show up when i can! i show up more after losses, because well, we seem to lose more often now, and that's when i really need to get it off my chest…. if i didn't care as much, i wouldn't take the time to grab the laptop, get on the site, log in, and post…. if i didn't care, i wouldn't waste the time…. and i don't do it to get a rise out of anyone…. i could be speaking into a total vacuum and i'd STILL say the same things…..
