From an individual player standpoint, that makes me wonder how good Pele or Maradona would be in this era. No one with any ounce of sanity or credibility is claiming Messi is the outright GOAT, but it seems like he would score at will against those teams.
I'm a pretty big Tiger hater, and I refuse to accept that he is the GOAT until he surpasses Jack objectively, but it's kind of the same argument. I guess I'm a hypocritical douche.

Well I definitely wasn't referring to that. I was mainly commenting on how shitty the speed and caliber of the game looks. It could be a result of poor quality filming, though. Babe Ruth looks like a modern-day BREC softball player on his video.

Well no doubt the fitness standards aren't nearly the same as today. It's all relative though IMO.

Comparing generations is stupid. That Brazilian team was great as is the current Spanish team. Brazil did win that final in convincing fashion playing Mexico in Mexico. Only Pele's injury stopped them from winning 4 straight World Cups.
