2006 World Cup for starters had a few games like that. In Spain v France you had Casillas, Ramos, Puyol, Cesc, Xavi, Xabi, Raul, Torres & Villa against Barthez, Thurman, Viera, Makelele, Zidane, Ribery & Henry. After that France faced a Brazil that lined up with Dida, Lucio, Cafu, Carlos, Kaka, Ronaldinho & Ronaldo. They also subbed on Adriano & took off Kaka for Robinho second half.

You're giving a lot of credit to guys like Cesc, Makelele, Torres, Xabi, Dida and Lucio to mention them in the same stratosphere as those that I mentioned in the OP.
