Neither of us even mentioned arguably the most talented and skilled youths we have in Christian Pulisic and Luca De La Torre.

Not to mention Pynadath who plays at Madrid and Lederman (formerly) and De La Fuente at Barca. I don't know much about De La Torre. Do you really think he's that good? Just curious. Pulisic is legit though.

He plays for Fulham and most there believe he is already better then Hyndman. That should speak volumes. I completely forgot about Kyle Scott who plays for God damn Chelsea and good ol Omogbolahan Ariyibi who starts for Chesterfield in the Championship at just 19. There's a good winger.

Ariyibi is 20 and Chesterfield is in League One, but I agree, he's solid. Sad he didn't get more time in the game today for the U-23 team. Certainly would have been better than Polster.

I don't know what our goal is. Obviously the World Cup is the most important, but these other tournaments matter. What did we learn at the Gold Cup besides embarrassment? Just play your best team in these tournaments and experiment some in the friendlies. It's not even smart experimentation either. He's moving players all over the place.

For an elite club like Juve to offer anything for a then 16 year old who plays for Kansas City is impressive IMO.

not really

youth players are bought at those kind of prices now days which isn't a good thing

shite Liverpool paid 600k pounds for Sterling years ago.

Its just how the market is.

Dude, pull back the eurosnob for a sec, and realize that American youth players don't normally get offers like that. This is why it's a big deal.

How is being a realist = being a euro snob.

Clubs routinely offer big money for youth products to further develop in their academy, and its been going on for years. Its awesome Juve wanted to buy him.

I am trying to remember the other big name potential transfers of US teenagers. It doesn't happen all that often. Besides Adu, Luis Gil was really coveted around 15-16, and I think he had a $1 million transfer offer. Not sure if anyone else had that level of attention.

Ive pretty much become numb to watching the national team unless its the WC or WC qualifying.

If the GC was once every 4 years and not the joke every 2 year money grab i'd care more.
