This could possibly be Johnson's last year with Gladbach.
However, Joe Scally is going to Gladbach at the end of this MLS season.

I'd be surprised if they start this month. Team members and players are still testing positive.

People will test positive for years. If that’s the standard then kiss sports goodbye until 2023

If teams are still quarantining the infected and any team members that they came in contact with for 14 days, then you're looking at sizable portions of teams that will may be unavailable. If they keep doing that, then I don't see how you can play until it has worked through the teams or you have enough tests to test everyone (players and staff) and get the results within 48 hours of the start of every game.

Update! Merkel's initial proposal (leaked to media) demanded "a two-week quarantine" for Bundesliga clubs. A second version has now crucially removed the "two-week" bit. One week, as per the league's medical paper, might be seen as sufficient - which would bring us back to May 15

Which is why they should sell to ESPN. ESPN takes over next season, gives them a test run, FOX still makes money, etc. It's a win-win.
It’s FOX, and people are starved for sports. Rupert is going to throw this shite on PPV for $50 and have mass comm majors commentate for free

Why would he do that if they already have these games on fox?
He doesn’t even need to do that he’ll make even more in advertising
All the advertisers are licking their chops now to be on these games
Sure there are no commercials but the ads on the scores board, the time before, half time and after the game are going to be packed with as many commercials as they can sell.
We may see very little pre, half and postgame analysis

I don’t think they’ll actually do that, but they’ve always had an impressive ability to stretch questionable amounts of content across multiple channels and services while charging as much as they can. They somehow still support both FOX Soccer Plus and FOX Soccer Match Pass with basically the Bundesliga, and the services are still 15 and 20 dollars per month respectively.
They did the same shite with non-sports programming with FX, FXX, and FX+. FXX basically exists because they broke off a few existing shows from FX so that people would actually subscribe then filled the remainder of the network with Simpsons reruns.
I don’t really hate FOX, mostly because they aired soccer when most people wouldn’t touch it, but when compared to basically anyone else, they’re going to charge as much as they can then mail the actual production in.
