Right because over 50% of the IRA's funding comes from Irish-Americans. If they're all IRA supporters why would they hate America? This is as much of a blanket statement as TN's sweeping generalizations of Rangers supporters.

you might want to rephrase that b/c none of them are being ruled by another country.
Don't be so intentionally naive. The club was founded by refugees of the potato famine. The older fans remember Bloody Sunday. Yes, they can relate to oppression experienced from another country exerting influence over an ethnic group.

I was just kidding man. Glad to see I added fuel to the fire here.

So they hate the people that give them money. Logic.

And most of the fan base had relatives who feared for their lives while they got gunned down for no reason at all. Look its time they gave up the hatred. The past is long gone. But don't act like they have no experience of what it feels like to experience pain at the hands of the British.
Then you're being just as blind as TN always is, just from the other perspective.

I'm not talking about hatred. Waving a Palestinian flag because you can sympathize with their plot is not hatred. How many times have Americans unfurled "Don't Tread on Me" banners?
This board never ceases to amaze me with its high and mightiness. Yet the hypocrisy is so thick you could swim in it.

So a satirical image that Franklin made in response to Britain sending criminals to the colonies is similar to the Israel Palestine conflict?

You all should be banned for daring to bring up the topic of religion. It is not appropriate for this Internet domain and I am sickened by this entire thread.

This isn't the Poli Board.

I thought it was a TD-wide rule. I got banned for what I said on the Help Board, not the Poli Board.

Its the message, just as a flag is a message. When Israel recently threatened to invade the West Bank, I thought it was terrible along with others. Many people took to Facebook to voice their opinion about how America, as well as Israel, aren't treating the Palestinians fairly.
I guess that means I hate America? I guess that means a good bit of my Jewish friends who shared the Palestinian flag on their Facebook walls hate Israel?
Please. Its fine to be logical on this board, as long as its something popular to be logical about. If its not a popular subject to support then you aren't being logical. You're being a racist, diving, sectarian.

We're all being civilized about it. If I get banned for having a civilized conversation about it then that's just ridiculous. If anyone is offended by the conversation please let us know and I'll stop talking about it immediately. We're all friends here, regardless of our political or religious beliefs.

I really don't give a shite about any of this. I just don't like TnBhoy's extremist views.

Exactly. And that sucks because I'd really like to pull for them. Oh well. Rangers it is.

None of you all are not just a wee bit sympathetic to the cause?
