Donovan is the best player to ever wear the red, white, and blue. He could have played, and been a regular, for any club in the world.

Is there really a massive talent gap between an in his prime Landon Donovan and Park Ji-Sung? Raul Meireles?

Every major club in the world has regulars who top out at "very good." Not every player is "world best XI."

shite - Chelsea trotted out Salomon Kalou on the wings for years.

Let him troll, but this is the point. He wouldn't be a superstar at every club, but he could have played for Man U, Cheslea, Liverpool, AC Milan, Inter, Barca, Real, etc., etc., etc. He most likely would have been an off the bench winger who made rotational starts. Anyone who doesn't think he was capable of this is just dumb.

I'm the biggest USA homer there is and I'm not sure he would make it at the top 2 La Liga sides, but I'm pretty sure he could play with any of the Top4 in England, especially in his prime.

We don't think so, yet good American players keep getting passed over by top teams. It annoys me to no end that Australia, Japan, and South Korea have had regulars who have played for top four sides in England and good teams in Europe, yet we can't have a player get a look. There has to be some explanation.

Hopefully this World Cup could start to be the change of that since the rest of the field was so impressed by our efforts. Yedlin and Besler have immediately caught interest of teams. Fabian was reportedly talked about big clubs having interest (though he just signed a deal).

Also, any LD > bad DI Maria and full retard Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo. :lol.
