Apparently we've signed Moussa Dembele.

So that's two Moussa Dembeles. 16 year old striker from PSG.

I are confused.

Fulham draw 0-0 with Køge in the first preseason game. Seems like we dominated the proceedings, but the ball just didn't find the net.

First half was 4-4-2: Schwarzer; Brister, Baird, Halliche, Briggs; Davies, Etuhu, Gecov, Kacaniklic; Trotta, Dalla Valle.

Second half was 4-3-3: Stockdale, Riether, Hangeland, HUghes, Riise, Diarra, Sidwell, Dembele, Frei, Petric, Mesca.

Finishing and just a bit of timing off, it seems. But that's natural in the first preseason game.

The big guns still getting some rest and Kasami is being saved for the Swiss Olympic team.

Away kit ordered. Went with Hangeland. Tribute to a great, bald Fulham stalwart. And his header that beat Arsenal a few years back gave me wood.

Latest transfer rumors:

Preparing a bid to get Carlton Cole from West Ham if the Hammers are able to get Andy Carroll from Liverpool.

Jordan Rhodes, 22-year-old striker from Huddersfield, in Jol's sights as well and the bookies are getting closer to even money on the move. 71 goals in 122 appearances in the last three seasons. Helped lead his side to promotion last season.

Rhodes would be a good signing, he's big and could give us some depth.

Here are some highlights I found of him scoring 5 goals in 1 game this season. None were spectacular, but he's definitely got a nose for goal.

Second friendly today against Lokomotiv Leipzig. Will post any relevant team news once it comes across on Twitter.

Starting XI: Stockdale; Riether, Hughes (c), Halliche, Riise; Etuhu, Gecov, Sidwell; Mesca, Trotta, Kacaniklic

Subs: Schwarzer, Hangeland, Baird, Petric, Diarra, Frei, Dalla-Valle, Briggs, Davies, Dembele, Brister, Etheridge

Only one that may not see action is either Schwarzer or Etheridge. Though it's a friendly, possible they could give them each a run in the second half.

Can't say I'm thrilled to not see Dempsey at all.

And not that it matters since it's just a friendly, but that has to be one of the least creative 3 man central midfields ever.

Yeah, it's disconcerting to see him not in any of these games, but if something were to fall our way and he stays then I'm sure he'll be ready to go.

Wonder when Rodallega will finally get his first run out with the team.

Fulham linked with Iaquinta move

Will we ever sign anyone that isn't 100 years old?

Trotta scores to make it 1-0. First goal of the preseason. Apparently Riether is looking good in his first couple of summer outings.

ETA: Trotta with a brace on the half hour. 2-0 Whites

Second half team: Schwarzer; Riether, Baird, Hangeland, Briggs; Davies, Dembele, Diarra, Kacaniklic, Petric, Frei.

Petric bags the third goal in the 67th minute to make it 3-0. Dalla Valle and Brister on for Kacaniklic and Riether who both played 70 minutes.

Davies crosses and Della Valle puts it in 4-0. Sounds like a solid performance all around.

Just reading the last page of the Arsenal thread there's talk about the Manchester clubs offering 10-12 for RVP. Seems crazy low (although obviously it could go up) but then again he's 29 (or something), on the last year of his contract, and said he won't re-sign. Even Ozil went for fricking nothing for similar reasons and he was young.

Just makes me wonder what Liverpool's offer would be. A real lowball, 5 or so? It's similar to RVP except Clint, thankfully, hasn't said shite. If it's a bs offer they should refuse it, even if Clint wants to run out his contract, as long as he stays professional about it.

Not a chance in hell FFC sells Deuce for 5m. It will be much closer to the 10 they actually want before they give up that easily.

BTW, friendly tomorrow against Kaiserslautern. No news on player availability.

Do not want Iaquinta fwiw. Would rather just take a flier on Rhodes and see if he turns into something.

Anyway, bit late on this but I do hate losing Murphy. Must have been him wanting a 2 year deal and us only wanting a 1. Diarra's the replacement I guess.

Most encouraging thing so far is Dembele doesn't seem desperate to leave, granted je hasn't signed up either.

Getting Dembele extended before the end of the season would be priority number one in my books. At some point, we have to show that Fulham is a desirable place to play. MAF has to have more cash laying around, but I know he has a lot of debt to himself and private investors.

I agree on Rhodes. Young guy who has shown he has a knack for being in the right places in front of goal, albeit in the lower leagues. I also think a loan deal for a striker isn't out of the realm of possibility yet.

Rodallega will be a nice addition if he actually gives a shite.

Riether has been impressive in the first two summer games and could very well be in the starting XI against Norwich on August 18.

I lurk (occassionaly post) on a fulham board and people tended to go on and on about how good Kelly was last year. Kind of a case of low expectations to me. He's solid defensively but shitty with the ball. Wemay be a lower half of the top ten team but we had some talented players last year (Dempsey, Dembele, Murphy, Diarra, Ruiz, even Brede is a good passer for a CB), Kelly just isn't on that level.

So if Riether is an upgrade, good. I was hoping for a younger upgrade, but an upgrade will do.

We're apparently interested in Douglas, Brazillian CB from Twente. Seen him a few times and he looked good. He's 24, as good as Hughes and Brede have been it doesn't hurt to get younger. Don't know what that would mean for Senderos or even Hughes. Newcastle are also interested apparently.

Fulham team against Kaiserslautern:

Schwarzer; Riether, Hangeland, Hughes, Riise; Kacaniklic, Diarra, Etuhu, Ruiz: Petric, Trotta

Riether gets yet another start to keep putting pressure on Kelly. Ruiz is in the lineup, which is great see. Hope he can bounce back from the injury in a big way. We will badly need him.
