FourFourTwo- Greatest Teams (Milan)

I know there was a thread on this a week or so ago but I just got my mag and have been reading it the last couple of days.
So the second greatest team of all time, according to 442, won exactly 1 Serie A title in 5 years? How do they justify this? What am I missing?

Didn't they win the European Cup back to back?

Yes but other great clubs have won multiple European titles. The 2nd best team of all time should be able to win more than 1 domestic title in a 5 year period imo.

You have to remember, major clubs on the Continent consider the CL very important, and have no problem pursuing it, when the domestic title is not tenable without major cost or detriment (to their CL aspirations).
Great clubs in the final analysis, are based upon their CL cups. It´s a given that most have been either dominant or up there historically, with respect to domestic titles.
It´s also true that they´ve foregone a domestic title, to the advantage of gaining the big ears, when they see they´re not in a position to win the domestic title.

Winning the Super Bowl of Europe>>>Domestic Title.
Randy, your team finished 6th in the EPL and won it. Don't complain.

I didn't see the article but I'd guess they're considering the run from around 88-94 when they won 4 league and 3 European titles.
I have heard many say the 89-90 side that finished 2nd to Maradona's Napoli was the best of all of them.

Maldini, Van Basten and Guillit?
Absurd.
Absurd.

No they stopped at 92, which was strange to me because I too noticed that they won the next two Serie A's after that which would have given them a much stronger case.
Just seems hard to justify them over teams like 70's Bayern and Liverpool who had more European and domestic success or even the latest addition of Barca who won 2 in 3 years or 3 in 6 along with a ton of other domestic trophies.

Nobody is making the case for that team to be included amongst the all time greats either.
