That's what makes the bidding system attractive. There is no pre-set order. It basically depends on who wants it more. And if the top 2 bids are the same, then you can go with whoever submitted their bid first as the tie-breaker.
With the FAAB system, you bid one time on each player.
Sample email to commish or whoever is in charge:
quote:
FAAB Bids Week 1
TD handle: VKC
Team name: Wolves
Total budget remaining before bids: $100
Place a $10 bid on Player X.
Place a $4 bid on Player Y.

BUT, if you can do it at any time even mid game rather than at some arbitrary time, I support that it is skill based.
It is anytime FA. A rush to post at midnight on Wednesday is silly.

given the hate for waivers and I don't want to massively burden people with FAAB, I support the anytime FA
Ironically, waivers are even more time consuming than FAAB. Simple free agency may be out of neccesity though.

I bid £100M on Charlie Adam.
Wait, did the bidding start yet?

What is the system for incoming players, but not yet in the EPL?
What happens when you draft a player that leaves? I would assume you would just pick up someone in free agency, but what is the need for a second draft
After re-reading that part of my post, it's kind of confusing. I would say that if you drafted a player that is transferring out of the EPL either before the season or in the winter transfer window you would get 2 options:
[1] Replace that player immediately via free agency...but giving up your place in the "transfer draft" OR
[2] Wait for the "transfer draft" that would occur after the transfer deadline
There are pros and cons of each option. Then, players not picked up in the "transfer draft" would go into the normal free agency pool.

Hell, the draft hasn't even ended yet.

So you can't refute my argument, got it
You don't have to be a douche about it.
And yes I was referring to any point, even mid game.

it at least prevents the people who don't pay attention from benefitting.

It was not you. I just have not been following that aspect of the rules.

Support this. You can pick up anyone after the draft.
I am against a transfer draft.

Not the waivers I was suggesting, but whatever

True, but they still require emails and all that shite. Half-assed, reverse standing waivers are not the time IMO when simple free agency is pretty much as good.

Come on guys, seriously? You have to do basic things if you join a fantasy league, like be present for the draft.
Posted on 8/16/12 at 5:19 pm to BleedPurpleGold
I was present for the draft.
I've never been in a fantasy league with a first-come, first-serve free agency system. That's not a basic thing for a fantasy league. I'll accept it if that's what WSE decides, but I'll also annoy him on Twitter about it.

I give up. I find myself arguing for something I don't even want, haha. The budget thing sounds fun as hell. I want that.

Holy shite I leave for half an hour and this thread melts down.

There's a good chance you're on the clock as well.
ETA: Make that a 100% chance.

As for my pick, I've only had one homer pick so far, so I'll reward myself with John Obi Mikel. He's poised for a breakout year

Two picks left
BraveTiger225 is on the clock

We debated the best way to do a free agency system.
Oh, and Goose and Red picked.
