That's the only real option.

Turned it down. Didn't want to have to deal with dirty drug money.

On another note, I kept Hamburger mid-table over the 2nd half of the year and met management's goal. Got a £9.5 million transfer budget and worked it up to over £30 million thanks to deep pockets in Munich and Manchester. Just bought an 81 ovr ST from Ajax and should make a few more signings before the window closes. This jackass LM was sold to me by Barça for £4.5 million but he's being a dick in negotiations.

Will this work retroactively through manager mode?

Your roster is locked in once you start a career mode. You'd have to start a new one to get the roster update.

I'm playing on World Class. I'd recommend starting on Professional and gaining some confidence and skill and upping the difficulty level as you go.

When I first started and I was playing as Everton, I would play the shite teams (Burnley, QPR, Tottenham*, etc.) on Professional and the big clubs on World Class just to balance out the actual difficulty level of each opponent.

*Okay, maybe I was baiting Tottenham fans here just a little bit

Depends how good the club is

If you start with a shitty League One or Two club

you have to play on an easier level or you are fricked

your players won't even put the ball on net

Right on... I took over at Portsmouth. Going to start out on World Class I guess. Heading straight for the PL and greener pastures!

Oh and GTFO with the Tottenham banter.

Just messing with you. Us Evertonians certainly have no room to talk at the moment.

Good luck with Portsmouth though. I took over MK Dons and trying to bring up a League 1 team is pretty interesting. It's a good challenge, for sure.

Good luck with Portsmouth. I got back to back promotions on Professional. Got in to the Championship and was fired mid-way through the season as I was bottom of the table.

Decided to try to raise Plymouth to the EPL. This is going to be impossible after the first season or two or rising up leagues.

Just won the champions league with the hatters of Luton Town. I play on professional because I still struggle at times. I put it on world class for 3 games against lower table and championship teams and lost all of them. I decided to just suck up my pride and enjoy winning.

Professional is weird to me. With Hamburger, I has having problems scoring at all and gave up a TON of goals in the last minute or in stoppage time of the first half. Tehn, the other night I decided to play my game against Hannover and won 4-2. My team was moving all over the field and actually attacking. Then I beat Dortmund 2-1...and I was stoked. Next game I play was against 2nd-from-bottom Greuther Fuerth...and I lost 1-0. Then on the final matchday I neede a win to secure a Europa spot next season (the goal given by club management) and 4th place Leverkusen drubbed me 4-0. It's really frustrating. Granted, I only have 2 players above 80 (a striker and RM) but the rest of my team is mid-70s.
