I've noticed that if you can get to the byline in the box with your wingers, you can score at about an 80% rate. The other players make runs that are almost impossible to defend, so just pulling it back with a driven pass sets up a wide open attacker with a 6-10 yard look on goal. The tricky part can be actually turning the corner down there and getting parallel with the line heading towards the net, but if you can do that then you're probably going to score a goal. I'd advise y'all try that tactic if you haven't already. It is borderline cheesy

Lol okay I tried it in a few games this morning and it's ridiculously easy, especially with Sterling on the wing.

I kept trying to do what I did last year and drive down then cut back inside and shoot, but more often than not I'd lose possession on the cutback.

Also, I guess United found some extra money to blow. This is my second season in this manager mode btw. And before anyone asks, I play on a monitor on my coffee table in front of my couch.

I had something like that happen yesterday too. idk when the last patch was but through balls are actually working like they're supposed too

this is the first time I've felt like high pressing teams with ultra attacking on have been punished by it though. scored a couple goals last night on middle through balls after turnovers. one pace bump, finesse shot in the corner, profit.

Work rates come into play as well, as do player instructions. Some guys always overlap their fullbacks. I avoid center backs with a high attacking workrate like the plague. Hummels, Ramos, etc. It makes Serie A squads hard to break down because there are some quality low/ high defenders and a lot of high defensive work rate midfielders.

Paying attention to the workrates has helped me a ton on defense. For instance I had a hi/low right winger with a medium/low CM on the same side and it was knife through butter on defense on that side. Switched the CM to the other side and all of the sudden my defense wasn't porous.

The hi/low strikers are the tits. They just lurk on the centerbacks shoulder in defense

I don't know if this is typical FIFA gonna FIFA or just Butland being the most OP player on the game, because he does shite like this every time I face him. 16 fricking saves. 16. This was for the division 6 title and I finally scored in extra time. It's just frustrating as hell when you dominate someone and their scripted keeper just saves everything. I won but still, a perfect example of why I often hate this game series. Many of these weren't easy saves either, he had several reflex saves in the 6 yard box that are goals 99/100 times

Anyway I took a month break from FIFA bc I just had enough.

Went to start up season two of my FCK manager mode and it was gone

So ive started all over again. I'm playing better on WC not getting smoked by 2 or 3 goals every game. But I'm still having issues scoring. Most my matches are 1-0 or 2-1. The only time the computer scores now is on a goalazo or when it just decided you can't stop me and it one twos all the way down the field. But at least I'm sitting mid table about to go in my first transfer window.

Looks like a lot of the issues have not been fixed or patched. The input delay is still there and my god is it frustrating, esp around the other teams 18 when trying to shoot and you just get dispossessed instead. The cpu still plays insane defense as a unit becoming impossible to break down and intercepting every pass, o yea the blocks, blocks and more blocks. Your teammates still play like idiots just standing there not making runs or any movement off the ball. Not to mention waiting on the ball to come to them. Passing is still hit or miss.

So another patch came out and the game feels different. A lot sharper, the passing is still frustrating when you can't complete a 3 yard pass and your player boots to a guy 15 yards away. Its the patch where it tells you to pick which language you want for the Alex Hunter story.

I have Lautern now 3 points out of promotion places. Made some moves during my first winter window and its paying off. Picked up Kelly Acosta who is a straight beast, Pulsic on a 2 year loan to buy deal, Green from Bayern for cheap money. CCV on a short loan for depth. Tuzabeen from United on a short loan to buy and Jack Harrison who is killing it.

Also, if you were thinking about a club that you thought most represented "America" in MLS, what would you think?
