you're in a higher division than I am so I would imagine your opponents are more proficient with set pieces.

i got to division 2 on regular seasons and if you play with a super club, the guys will score from any FK or corner basically

it's insane

if you start with a big team with a budget you can assemble an amazing team without even trying

I try to avoid it, but the German international team is my slump buster. run up against a wide range of teams because international side players don't get form updates like they do on their club squad. I've played anyone from Barca/Real to Man U to PSG. but most people playing with Real or Barca in Div 8/7/6 are garbage. it's just hard when you make one defensive mistake and bam Ronaldo is in

I'm with you though, based on what I've seen you post before. I prefer H2H. FUT feels streaky and generic. seasons feels like the game was designed to be played. obvious flaws, but better nonetheless

No doubt in my mind this shite is scripted to a degree. Just played a game where Lacazette was on a breakaway, the keeper charges and I pass it to Ibrahimovic (97 shooting, 97 finishing) all alone in front of an open net, no one within 5 yards and I'm in the 6 yard box. I just tap it, 1 power bar, and it clinks off the post (I was closer to the middle of the net than the post). The first 7 or 8 games he was hitting scud missiles like you would expect a guy with 99 shot power to do. It was like playing with a good striker that had the plus 10 training boost, you can just tell when they hit it it's different. Well he doesn't do that anymore. Come to find out though Sebastian Giovonco does. I know that because he came on as a 75th minute sub against me last night while I was up 2-0 and scored a hat trick, the last one was the hardest shot I've seen on FIFA and from 25 yards. This game is comical sometimes.

since my 8 game losing streak I miraculously won 2 and drew 2 to hold the division. started 3-1-1 in the new season, lost a game that was tied because my dog stepped on the power strip switch so I'm gonna buy an extra match

eta-obviously the streak bridged two seasons. I don't ever buy the shite in the catalogue. although I might as well

in the higher divisions on seasons and ultimate team, fouling 25 yards and in is a very bad idea. corner kicks have never given me trouble, though. i dont score on them, but neither do my opponents.

im feeling pretty good right now. division 1 on seasons and in division 2 on ultimate team with a shitty mls squad

i use all coins to buy packs or play draft mode and have gotten shite in return but it's more fun than building a team or playing transfer market for me.

I guess fifa has the same glitch as last year when updating rosters from the download. You have reset them and then download them again. The newest one is pretty sweet with all the new boots included. Also lots of youth players are in in like CCV.

I decided to start a second manager mode last night this time with Lautern.

and with the updated rosters have so many young players to buy or get on loan.

Picked up Nacho on loan with the option to buy for 6 million pounds after the season, so promotion is a must

Bought Pulisic for 500k tried to

Tried to buy Hyndman for 400k but I got out bit by fricking 20 grand

Took Julian Green, Brandon Barker, CCV, Andreas Pereira and fosu mensah all on loan.

Fosu Mensah is going to be a beast starts off at almost a 67.

Wow, Nacho, Green and Hyndman? You're basically following my strategy with them.

Let me know how much you get him to grow. He's only like a 73 overall for me in my fifth season and I've tried training him regularly. He still plays, because to me he plays a bit above his overall and I just like keeping a small roster to keep everyone from bitching about playtime after every game.

Also, don't forget to switch all of your players to Nike cleats. That's what I do first thing when I start a new MM

I mean, I always select "download latest" whenever I start a new career, and that works.

As for the Nike cleat thing by our resident sucker, these are the best cleats in the game:

I can get on board just because of Mario.

Literally the only reason I even own my Xbone is because of FIFA. I'm like a level 120 something in the EAFC so when the new game comes out I can just immediately buy everything from the catalogue.

It's kind of depressing that the only thing I do with FIFA on my PS4 is play Pro Clubs, which I haven't done in months.

Right now I have an entire in form squad with 95 Zlatan up top. 25 goals in 22 games. I bet 10 of those are headers. If you can pick him out on a corner or cross, it's back of the net every time.

Despite the ridiculous squad (88 Pogba, 87 Griezmann, 88 Di Maria, 85 Lacazette) I still have the best win/loss record with my MLS squad. I got to division 2 with that group. Just further reason for me to believe that FIFA uses handicaps/scripting. I'm in division 4 right now. Barely stayed alive last season and 4-1-0 this season. That's how it always goes though. Win streak, lose streak, rinse, repeat.

If you have a Serie A squad (you should, they're OP as hell in midfield) I highly reccomend the 86 Handanovic card. Best keeper I've used in FIFA. Had Neur and the blue De Gea last year but this card blows them both out.

I don't cross often and goals from a cross are fewer and further between the corner headers. I've noticed the closer I get to the byline the better the cross. More often than not though I get to the corner of the 18 and cut inside. From there I either try to dribble through for goal, or pick out the CM with the through ball button that's usually streaking towards the middle of the box unmarked.

When I say cross though, most of my good ones aren't crosses as much as me just using the cross button. I'll use it in the box sometimes to pick out ibra. He has a 99 volley rating so he just takes it off the chest and smashes it on target. That's a higher percentage play for me than a ground pass or dribble around for me unfortunately. My guy pass like shite in the box. Through balls are unpredictable and a regular pass usually ends up behind the target so he has to stop. A tall striker makes winning headers and crossing soooo much easier though. They win more than they lose

I'm not great at this game by any means. This ibra card is just ridiculous. I've never had a player scoring at a rate of more than 1 per game like he'a doing

I'm pretty sure I'm the only person in the world incapable of triple tapping x on a constant basis.

if you were filming me trying to execute a ground cross on FIFA it would look like someone having a seizure, but hey, I get them off

The low cross is the one I can't do. Once I've started tapping X, there's just no stopping at two

do you look worse doing that than triggering s run? I've gotten to the point where I purposely avoid even attempting it because it makes my player look fricking autistic. it bothers me way more than it should

like who seriously thought, "yeah let's have a technical play use a button that directly affects dribbling the fricking ball"
