I do not have live, but I downloaded the free FIFA 14 for my phone, and it includes ultimate team. My life is probably over.

I hope so. Those World Cup games can't sell well enough to warrant a full release.
On another note, I got Eden Hazard in a card pack yesterday. I'm thinking of turning Falcao over to get Ozïl. Anyone got Ozïl yet?

i'm still just playing manager to get a hang of the controls and man this game is pissing me off
L1 switch is terrible, especially when the ball is in the air. defending crosses and corners are fricking impossible often
the passing is completely erratic. sometimes a light pass (in terms of pressure) will end up being a laser down the sidelines. this is terrible on this game b/c every pass intercepted in the middle part of the field is dangerous, b/c your team takes forever to turn around due to the new physics/momentum
sometimes i'll shoot in a pass to my striker/target man and it will be short. the computer will NOT let me move my striker away from a strife position to meet the ball. i mean literally my offensive player will remain frozen

I agree with everything you said.
Sometimes I'll be attacking, and a defender will stick out a foot and knock the ball away just a hair. No big deal, though, because my CM is there so I'll just switch to him and pick it up to continue, right? Wrong. He just stands there for a second and makes no attempt to get to it. The second the opposing team touches it, he breaks for it and makes the "Oh shite, I barely missed it" animation. It's caused problems.
That said, I love the physic and momentum in the game. It just has some real shitty side effects. Shooting is fun now since I can make some shots I wouldn't normally have attempted before.

this has been a huge struggle, and really makes the game frustrating. ive been getting better at it, but i still dont understand why some passes (from players with solid pass stats) completely ignore the striker making a run right in front of them, and instead veer sideways to the other side of the pitch. its driving me crazy.

And on the flip side, strikers slowing down on a run with the ball near on an attack. I understand if the ball was surely going out of play or was to someone else, but if there isn't anyone around, your arse better hustle to that ball and not away from it. I hate it especially because I love lob and through passes for set ups. Unless you're passing it directly to them from short distances, you're going to have trouble.

Man, I want to get rid of Falcao and replace him with Rooney. Call me crazy, but I've always liked stronger strikers. It's just so hard to fit Falcao with any of the other big boys without killing chemistry. There's only so many Colombians and Ligue 1 players I can stand. I want to make the transition to a BPL/La Liga/Bundesliga team. I have all the players to make it work outside of the strikers. AH! I just... love seeing that 90 overall. I guess Rooney's 87 will have to do.

I've been thinking about playing a season with the worst League 2 team and see if I can get them promoted every season and then see if I can keep them up once I get to the Premier League.
