Just played 2 more. The shooting is more difficult this year. I started to get the hang of it and started pounding in some goals. The defense seems to be better when you don't try to tackle the ball every second.

they give you an option to access the game settings page in one of the twelve things that you have to look through before actually starting the game

They must have completely changed the rating scale. I think the all time XI didn't have anyone above a 92 in the other games

Doubtful.

Soccer players are getting better. Thus, better ratings.

I think that's the reason the ratings started so low to begin with. Room for improvement. Players are rated relative to all time (instead of relative to their peers like in football games)

Messi is 4 points better than last year? I really think they just shifted everything upward

I'd say he was probably underrated last year. He really came into his own during the spring, imo.

They did the roster update in January.

We'll see if they changed the rating system when the full game comes out, I guess.

Gotze is an 83. That's about what Ozil and Hamsek were when the game came out last year.

That sounds fair. I'm sure Ozil is an 85 or 86 now.

I can't wait to see what Suarez is. Should be an 85 or 86.

My guess is that there aren't any in the demo.

Unless the demo includes an MLS team like it did in 2010.

No idea. I'm just going with players from the demo.

after playing w/barcelona, i feel informed enough to predict the fifa 12, online experience:

player 1
1. play with barcelona
2. give the ball to messi
3. ???
4. profit

player 2
1. play with barcelona
2. give the ball to messi
3. ???
4. profit

I feel like it's more fluid than last year, and it looks like you won't be able to just hit a lob through ball all the way up the field and connect

I just played my roommate a few times who does this occasionally and it didn't work, so I really hope it doesn't work online

I was sucking something awful. I find it is less fluid, and they probably curbed the effectiveness of lobbed through palls too much. For whatever reason I was awful at slide tackling which I found odd

I actually find it quite the opposite. maybe it's just me but it seems to play more realistic.

Again I disagree, I have managed to make them work, but you actually have to have a run and hit it well, not just bomb it and wait for a defender to screw up.

Tackling as a whole seems more difficult. I love how they have taken the "hold a until you blast a guy off the ball" out of the game.

I also think the midfield play is much more realistic. You don't have 4 guys rushing you as soon as you get a touch. Also the Def AI has been improved ten fold.

I wasn't just hoofing it, my guy would have his man beat and fail to get the ball. This happened repeatedly
