I'd like to get some input from you guys who know more about European futbol than I do. What are the major rivalries of the EPL, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, etc...

These are a few I know from the short time I've followed the sport

Arsenal - Spurs, Chelsea, ManU, Fulham?

Chelsea - ManU, Arsenal, Leeds? (historically)

ManU - Pool, Arsenal, ManC, Chelsea

Pool - Everton, ManU

Villa - Birmingham

Ajax - Feyenoord

Real - Barca, Athletico?

AC Milan - Inter Milan, Juventus?

Celtic - Rangers

What are some others?

Would manu be considered a rival of Chelsea and arsenal? I feel like its the same between lsu and bama. They're just always a top flight team so it's usually an important game more so than a rivalry.

Biggest traditional rivalry in Serie A is Inter vs Juventus. Inter vs AC Milan is big, but Inter-Juventus is number 1.

Red Star Belgrade and Dinamo Zagreb.

You think Old Firm is crazy? This makes the Glasgow derby look like lamb chop's play along.

River Plate actually managed to get relegated a year or so ago. Sad, sad stuff. Not even in the top flight anymore.

El Superclásico was awesome to watch.

It was on my bucket list. FSW played that shite all the time and it was always great.

Yeah I hated to hear that.

I used to love the shot selection in those matches. If there was even a HINT of an opening those dudes would fire a shot off from 30+ yards

I think that it's because I associate Chelsea v. Millwall with Football Factory and the other with Frodo the fricking Hobbit.

it was based off a book written in 1997 and the writer was a die hard chelsea fan who most likely witnessed the old rivalry.

i agree. green street would be more credible if frodo wasn't the main character. hard to take him serious in that move.

another similar move was The Firm. it was filmed by the same director.

Always looks frightening.

Some others...

PSG-Marseille - The government hasn't been letting visiting fans travel for this one anymore.

Napoli-Roma - Roma's rivalry with Lazio has more notoriety, but the Derby del Sole is downright nasty.

Nottingham Forest-Derby County - Both clubs aren't what they used to be, but in the 70s this was one of the biggest fixtures in English football.

Dortmund-Schalke - Perhaps the biggest local derby in Germany.
