If he does well, the rest of the clubs won't see his first Everton run as just a flash in the pan.

It doesn't seem to me like he's ever going to have interest in going there on anything other than a short term loan. Could be wrong. He's OLD anyway.

I assume he'll wear #9 again?

doesn't seem too bright on his part. considering he is getting up there in age, he could probably use the break. he is going to go on a 2 month loan to one of the most demanding leagues and the come back end of feb and the MLS season starts again in march?? yes he is going to get good experience, but he has already played at the highest level in multiple world cups.

i understand going and training with the teams. majority of the players (shea, beckerman, agudelo) are training with overseas teams. but at his age i think he needs to take his time off.

He's 29.

You do realize the last three World Cup Golden Ball winners have been over 30?

You people act like he's 53.

He's probably got 3-4 GOOD years left and a few more not so good years after that.

This is a great fact.

No matter what, Donovan WILL be starting for us in 2014. Whether he still has the wheels to play on the wings is another question.

I wonder if he will last as long as McBride did, though.

This can't be a good thing. If he plays, people that are permanent will be pissed, if he doesn't then he wasted his time.

He played alot on his last loan to Everton and there were no reports of other Toffee's getting pissed. Everton's mid-field was a hell of a lot deeper then too.
