Yes. That annoyed me to no end. If Arsenal sell Wilshere, I'll forever blame McNair. It also helps that McNair makes some silly mistakes.

That's a fair enough point, but they've rarely looked competent.

I just refuse to believe that the strong run they went on in the middle of the season wasn't "good" or "competent" compared to what you're getting in the rest of the Premier League.

Maybe that's just me being a homer. Maybe that's just you being a hater.

I think it's somewhere between that.

Comparatively, we played as well during that run as anyone has at any point this season. But that's just my biased opinion. Our main problem has been consistency away from home and against mid-table sides who invite us to come break them down. We have looked pedestrian at times but have shown flashes of something better as well. It has been a strange season, no doubt.

Crazy, i think you're exaggerating to some degree but i know you know that wasn't the first time Wilshere has been hurt in his career.

Oh I know. It still was a poor challenge.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has denied the club were ever in for Memphis Depay, despite PSV Eindhoven stating the contrary on Friday.

The Eredivisie champions' technical director, Marcel Brands, confirmed to Sky Sports News HQ that Liverpool wanted the 21-year-old but the player preferred a move to Manchester United, which was agreed between the clubs on Thursday.

But speaking his pre-match press conference ahead of their clash with Chelsea on Sunday, which is live on Sky Sports 1HD, Rodgers said: "It wasn't something we were ever interested in. We already have four wingers at the club and have other priorities

Brands, who is responsible for the Dutch club’s recruitment, has said the Dutch international wanted to move to Old Trafford to re-join Louis van Gaal, who managed him with the Netherlands at last summer’s World Cup.

Brands said: “Liverpool contacted us and talked with the player. They were also one of the clubs interested but at the end Memphis had the final decision and he chose Manchester United

Poor Brenda

He's obviously a very talented young player but we have Raheem Sterling, Jordan Ibe, Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic in those positions. We're well covered, especially on the left-hand side."

and just to think Marko was 20 million and Lallana was the same price as Depay and he has proven more than all four.
