I could have had it fully fixed right there, but when you're a senior starting CM for a team going for a second straight state title(which was the Saturday game I mentioned before), you're going to do whatever it takes to be on the field. The doctor did tell me I could go back later and have it fully fixed, I just haven't yet.

The only thing I've really had to deal with is snoring and sometimes I I sneeze hard I'll hear it crack. I've been lucky to avoid catching an elbow or fist to the nose the last 10 years.

So Dempsey walks over the sideline and says, "I can't breathe," to the trainers. Not 3 seconds later, he gets kicked in the face. That's the most unbelievably sequence I've ever seen in terms of irony.

Surely he wouldn't have been able to finish the game if the break were a bad one. Right?

Yeah. If he had any vision issues or didn't have full range of motion with his eyes they probably would have subbed him out. Its not that common to get entrapment but just something you have to be aware of.

Septal hematomas can usually wait a several hours before you start to get the effects from having one.

should mentioned ct scan isn't usually necessary unless you worried about entrapment or a hematoma to begin with. I would say these days a lot of ER docs get them as a precautionary measure.

It's most certainly broken.
