Deuce to the rescue to save Fulham from relegation

Is he the same player that left Fulham a couple of years ago? Hard to say. He hasn't wowed at a club level since.

I think a good number of Fulham supporters (myself included) are finally over that whole debacle enough to let it go and focus on the football, but a decent number have a bad taste in their mouth from his (and Jol's) behavior surrounding his exit to Spurs.

I think given that Jol is mercifully gone, it'll be like it never happened and Deuce can focus on helping Fulham get results.

The only thing I hate about this? These two-month loans can be disruptive to team chemistry at the wrong time in the season once he's gone.

I am interested in seeing the home reaction when he comes back.

I think it can be good.
Looking back, and hindsight is 20/20, many forgive him and know, NOW, that it was most likely Jol's doing. He holds big-time grudges, and once you fall out with him, you're out with him. Bobby Zamora fell out with him at Spurs, as did Danny Murphy. Both were summarily sent packing from Fulham almost as soon as Jol got there.

Jermaine Defoe has said the same thing, recently, although he managed to stay on Jol's good side.

It appears this happened with Dempsey, too. And we're learning now that he likely didn't "strike" or refuse to play. But his agent dallying with Liverpool, and his "desire for Champions' League" was probably enough for Jol to freeze him out.

Hope he can stay healthy and bring some much-needed grit to our XI.
