If the money is at 20 million, I hope Dortmund buys him as a replacement for Haland. They initially paid about that for Haland and around that for Bellingham.

That would be a terrible situation for Dike because there is no way he'd be able to live up to half of those expectations.

A mid-table team in a top 4 league is the perfect landing spot for him. Let him continue to learn and develop without drowning in the deep end. I have so much hope for him for years to come, but he is still pretty raw.

How do we feel about a Dutch team or even one of the top teams in Belgium that play in Europe?

Hard no for me. I’d rather him stay with Barnsley, especially if they end up promoting.

Feels like a lateral or maybe even a downward move from Barnsley considering the championship top to bottom is better than those leagues and you at least have the opportunity for promotion.

Can't say I've ever listened to him before or know much about him, but he seems to have a fantastic personality. Appears to be very down to earth and relatable. Just from this interview alone I'll be rooting for the guy.

Makes sense. I was thinking relative to Orlando City, but I think you're right in relation to Barnsley.

Dike is from the same town as me. I played with his cousin growing up. Awesome family.

Apparently he has a sister who played for Nigeria in the World Cup and a brother who played for Nigeria in a few friendlies.

Yeah, I don’t know anything about his sister, but his brother is Brite Dike. Played for Norte Dame and then Nigeria.

I think his brother played for some of our youth teams but I may be mistaken.

I’m not so sure that Dike wouldn’t bully the bundesliga. “Raw” can be used for any young soccer player sans M’bappe. Dortmund is right up there at the top with Ajax and maybe Lyon as a young footballer factory. They develop and play young players, and he would certainly score goals. What better place for development than a perennial developmental powerhouse?

Mckennie, Reyna, Pulisic aren’t drowning in the deep end. I’d love to see big Daryl at a place like Dortmund

It will be better for his development as the USMNT striker to play and train with top level players for his club. Yea, he’s play every week for Barnsley, but they’re going to get their shite kicked in next season if they go up. Dortmund or even Leipzig would be a good move imo

I would do cartwheels to see dike go to a youth development factory like Dortmund. That team always has good attacking talent and typically a very busy schedule.
