Going to this match next Saturday, anyone ever been to a game at CP? Any advice on things to do before or after the game?

Are you prepared to become a devoted Crystal Palace supporter? Because everyone I know who has ever visited Selhurst has come back a changed person.

Oh damn, no I hadn't. Embarrassingly enough I was contemplating internally cheering for Tottenham for no other reason than Dempsey played there. You've swayed me to feel otherwise!

Ha yep! I normally just root for teams with Americans bc I don't have any other rooting interest. I've got a feeling I may have found team

I think you'll enjoy it! From everything I have heard it is an incredible atmosphere. I'm very jealous of you!

You mean like, didn't want to be a CP fan? Or...?

No, i just didn't know anything about CP. I was using the same tactic for when I'm watching an NFL game where I don't really care about either team...I pick the team with the most LSU players.

After reading some previous posts and watching a YouTube of the supporters singing Glad All Over,I'm def going to be rooting for CP

That's cool man, I respect that. I myself am still trying to find my BPL team. Don't want to be another supporter of a Big 5 team...out of personal preference. But also don't want a team in danger of relegation and having a long fight ahead to get back in the top flight (i.e. Fulham from a few years back).

It's a work in progress. Leaning towards Eveton as my good buddy is a Toffee and I've been to Carolina Toffees events in Charlotte. Their viewing parties at Hooligans are awesome. Think they're planning a trip for the next Merseyside Derby this year too.

Please post afterwards. Love to hear your thoughts. Palace is my team, but I've never been. It's supposed to be one of the more lively and genuine atmospheres in the PL. Have a great time.
