Does he realize there's basically nowhere for him to go but Paris?
These top stars are priced so high in the market that they are basically stuck exactly where they are for the duration of their contract unless they do something insane.
And I remember he kept talking about how moving to Madrid was his boyhood dream, etc, etc. The guy scored 50 goals last year and plays no more than 4 serious league games a year. How the frick can be unhappy?

He was interviewed and gave a statement about being a little sad, that it was professional in nature, that it had nothing to do with Iniesta, and that people at the club knew why. Almost everything else is wild speculation, most of it implausible.

There are a few more clubs than just PSG who could afford him. Paris would be the most realistic option though.

City? That would sure be interesting. They have the cash. But would go seeing how he played for Man U?

Yeah, but City is the only other option.

City, Chelsea, United and Anzhi could all afford him. Bayern might even be able to afford him. frick, Zenit just dropped 80 million Euros on Hulk and Witsel.

Nah Chelsea or United won't pay the money it will take to buy Ronaldo. Anzi, PSG, or City I think.

I won't rule Chelsea out for any player on earth. Money isn't the issue. I actually think Chelsea is more probable than City due to their rivalry with United.

Meh, I think we just do not know something. I would be surprised if he moved.

I don't think he will move either. If it really is a locker room problem, the club is likely to move on other players before Ronaldo.

I think this is a personal issue. For all we know, it could be a family death or girl troubles.

Then why would he request to leave Madrid?

Has he done so? I don't believe so.

This is correct. I don't think Ronaldo would even consider Anzi at this point as they are not competitive for the champions league. He's said that he would like to go back to England.

Guillem Balague (sp?) Tweeted it I believe. Said he met with Florentino Pérez and told him he wanted to leave.

The only place I see him leaving for is United, but I don't think he's going anywhere for the time being. PSG would be tempting for him, but I don't think the French division is popular enough for him. It has to be Spain or England.

Yes I agree unless PSG makes a real push for champions league. I imagine it would be city or united. If united it would most likely be after he plays out his contract or is a little older so that his transfer fee will be reasonable.

His contract doesn't run out until 2015 I believe. Not sure if Madrid has paid off the Ronaldo transfer completely, but if they haven't, there's always the possibility United could get a better deal on him. City has the money to offer, but I really don't see Ronaldo heading there. It is well known how much he loves Fergie and Old Trafford.
