Yeah, my grandpa was stationed there and that's how they met. He was at the base when Elvis was there. He never really talked about it but from the pictures, it didn't look so great.

I didn't encounter any animosity while I was over there. Most people were very nice, male and female. My great aunt is from Heidelberg, do they have a base there or did she just ride the train to Frankfurt/Wiesbaden to find her a soldier? she's still alive but he's not, lives in Gulfport now
