Thought you guys would like it. It's long as hell, but worth it IMO.

I'm far from some lifelong fan and won't pretend to be but I did have to endure the unbelievably harsh CL spell that was 07, 08, 09. I wish like hell Terry hadn't slipped and we didn't get Ovrebo'd but overcoming that made last years run so much more special.

Xavi is a better player than Lampard and Gerrard. Stats don't tell the story.

Easy there, chief. I posted a pic in the Chelsea thread that was interesting. I wasn't trying to make that claim. Go crawl back to the arsenal thread and bitch some more about Arsene and the diaspora of quality players leaving your club.

Then why is it in the graphic if not to highlight the difference between Lampard and other elite players through the inarticulate combo of rage faces and stats? You might not be making that claim, but the picture sure is.

Not in their primes. He has more longevity because you can still make sideways and back passes when you get old. If I was passing to Messi I could have as many assists as Xavi. Fine player for what he does by easily the most overrated soccer player of the modern era.

Actually, the Chelsea tards (I assume you mean Beezy and I) were giving a friend (LSUSOBEAST) a little shite and you get all sideways.

Good luck getting people to back you on that statement. I guess that is why past greats and journalist alike say he is one the midfielders to ever play the game. As for Chelski fans, it is in their nature to troll. And Beezy, who is this Diaspora? And what position does he play and can Arsenal afford him?

I don't need backing, I have watched enough games of all three of those players to form my own opinion. Like I said he is fine for what he does but he would be worthless on a team where he wasn't surrounded by stars.

If you are trying to claim that Lampard is as good as Xavi, then we have an issue.

Yea he is fine at running the best international team to ever play and one the best club teams ever. I guess their is not much in that. Btw I don't ever recall Lampard playing with a bunch of deadwood. You may not need any backing, and I respect that it is your opinion, but you saying things like Xavi would be worthless is not giving your opinions much weight.

Randy is trolling hard right now. If anything Xavi makes players around him better.

I disagree. A DLP is far more important to a team than a AM. Xavi is the lynchpin for two of the best teams the soccer world has ever seen. Passing to Messi has little to do with it, as Xavi's primary job is not to make assists, but to set the tempo of the play. As we saw this last tournament, Spain can slow play to a standstill, and then change tempo precisely when they want to.

I didn't know that pic would ruffle so many feathers. Oh well. Here is a more clear cut one:

Frank Lampard will be on the Dan Patrick Show tomorrow at 10:30 central time. Listen to the show most work days, a big to Paulie for getting him on.
