Guilty of what? I'm not the one on here that has such a problem handling a point of view that doesn't conform with the norm.

I just find that comment funny with the carrying on the other day about how people decide what team to pull for.

I didn't realize it was so rare for people to be annoyed with bandwagon jumpers a la Miami Heat/ManU/etc?

The problem is that when pressed on your views you can't back them up with any legitimacy. The whole Arsenal thing the other day was ridiculous.

I'm sorry you feel that way?

You don't have to agree with me but it's pretty cheap to just say something so subjective about someone else' point of view like that. If I make an assertion I will try to back it up with legitimate links as I did in this thread earlier. Not sure what else you want from me.

I'll admit I didn't read most posts in this thread because I could tell where it was going pretty quickly. But if it was anything like the Arsenal bandwagon discussion from the other day then my point stands.

I mean in the Arsenal thing I linked and cited stats that showed ManU was more successful than Arsenal during that period. If you disagree that's fine, that's what discussion is all about. I think the respective trophy cases are enough to give my feelings on the subject a basic level of "legitimacy". I mean I wasn't in there just making shite up.

No but it seemed you were just arguing just to argue at that point. I clearly demonstrated that over a 6-7 year period (one in which most people on this board were getting into Euro soccer) Arsenal was 1b. in England and probably one of the top 4-5 teams in Europe.

Which makes it totally unreasonable to act like Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd. etc... fans are bandwagon but Arsenal fans are somehow exempt.

Again we disagree on the point and that's fine. I don't have any interest in rehashing the whole thing. All I'm saying is that, while you might disagree, you can't say that i didn't back up my opinion with anything and I think it's unfair for you to say that the opinion itself (disagree you might) somehow lacks legitimacy.

Ok, let me try and put it this way and then I'll be done. You criticize almost every fanbase on here with the exception of Arsenal yet none of the clubs, outside of Chelsea after winning the CL last year, have achieved the same level of success Arsenal did from the late 90s-2005.

Not Liverpool

I disagree and it's also not entirely just about what the clubs have done on the pitch.

Not sure how you could disagree but ok.

Also, for whatever Man U have become now, SCH is right when he says their initial success in the PL era was built largely on the back of their youth system/academy. Moreso than any other successful club in the last 25 years with the exception of the current edition of Barcelona. So why do you credit some teams (Arsenal) for "doing it the right way" but have such a problem with United and their fans?

Well #1 I don't have a problem with ManU the club for this reason.

As for the fans, I roll my eyes when someone says they are a ManU fan the same way I would for the Miami Heat or Yankees save the people that are from those places. That's not to say that all ManU fans are pure bandwagoners but for me it's a presumption that has to be overcome.

I think we really need to drop the bandwagon thing. All of us (or at least 9/10) of us were born in America, when we started watching soccer not everyone was illegal stream savvy, the good teams are on TV. Get the frick over it, move on. If people support their teams through thick and thin, which most posters seem to do otherwise idk why they'd be posting on a soccer forum, then I don't have a problem with their fandom. Pretty much everyone here is knowledgable about their club and wakes up at a stupid hour every weekend for 9 months to watch. No one cares that you support Newcastle. Nothing you do will change that. I have nothing else to say on the matter.

I understand that. That's why I don't have a problem with people supporting clubs like Arsenal or Liverpool. But Manchester United? That's just laziness.

Why don't you people get over it and realize that I will do and think whatever the frick I want and I will continue to give shite to some of you little assholes as I see fit.

Would you please shut up about this?

You're not from Newcastle. Newcastle is a Top 8 team historically in England, although you wouldn't be able to tell this year. You hitched on the Newcastle bandwagon.

See how freaking idiotic your logic is?
