Spurs looking better since the formation shift and Sissoko coming on. Gonna be a good second half. I’d settle for a draw and just trying to win it next week.

Spurs def seem like they can score on set pieces or a header...major size advantage. Llorente has been winning all the long balls to him. Will be interesting to see how Poch adjusts
They just really can’t get down 2-0 or Ajax will be on cruise control

1-1 would be an amazing result. Get Son back, get Wanyama off the pitch, and give it another go on the road.

Bayern need to hand a blank check to Ten Hag. I'm not a super soccer tactician or anything but he's looked on par at worst with the managers of the biggest teams in the world.
It might just be the youthfulness of the players but his guys go absolutely all out balls to the wall in every match I've watched. Doesn't hurt that he already has the Bavarian connection having coached Bayern's youth side during Pep's reign.
He'd be priority number one if I were Uli and co. this summer
eta: I'll also say Ajax look super vulnerable on those set pieces. Not sure if that's a tactical or personnel thing but Spurs have had at least 2 threatening shots on goal from those in just the 1st half.

Sissoko coming on.
yeah the vertonghen stoppage of play & sissoko coming on stole a bit of momentum from ajax and settled spurs a bit.

Stubear was white knighting for him at half-time.

I'm guessing Tagligoat gets his second yellow in the second half. Guy just flies into challenges

He's looked better. Ajax's rotation around the ball and support for the ball carrier is super impressive. And they never seem vulnerable on the break. Love the way Ziyech comes back to the ball and rotates it around, usually with one-touch. That allows van de Beek to make runs which attempt to split the channels. There have been a couple of times that van de Beek was free in the middle, splitting the CB's, and the pass could have been made if not for Spurs's compact shape, which pressed the ball carrier just enough to prevent a clean pass.
Just superb positioning around the ball. Tottenham need to beat them physically.

Couple of homer thoughts:
The offside player on the Ajax goal kept Hugo from charging the goal scorer
Head injury subs shouldn’t count as a sub if we are supposed to truly care about that
