Much like 6th best in the SEC is better than 2nd in the Big East.

Is that what it's like to be a Chelsea fan? Take solace in finishing 6th in the epl over finishing 2nd in Germany? Damn. Glad my favorite club doesn't brag about losing

This keeps us "losers" warm at night...

Actually you're right the Big East is probably closer to the SEC than the Bundesliga is to the EPL.

Awesome, bayern has more champions league and league titles than Chelsea. They also keep us warm at night. Thanks for bringing up the past, I had forgotten.

Appropriate that Meireles and Bosingwa hold the cup up. They got Chelsea there, after all

Maybe one day you'll actually get to see one.

I'm not surprised they were pretty much all so long ago.

Hey are you really in the UAE or not? I have a question posed in the African All star thread, if you can help?

Well, soccer didn't start until 2004 for Randy. You'll have to excuse him.

Well Bayern Munich last won the Champions League in 2001. Unless Hendo is too young to remember 9/11, he might have been alive to witness that one.

Unless he's a lot older than his posts would indicate I'd bet dollars to donuts he couldn't have named one Bayern Munich player in 2001.

Oliver Kahn

One of the best goalkeepers of all time, but your posting history indicates that the emergence England's Brave John Terry in the early 200s is the God's merciful gift to the mouth-breathing masses of football fans who had never witnessed a greater warrior.

Yeah I have no idea who Oli Kahn, Lizarazu, Sagnol, Mehmet Scholl, Owen Hargreaves, etc are. Some people started watching soccer before Russian oil money bought a mid level team.

I thought that it was a rule you couldn't come to a complete stop during PK's?

Maybe I'm crazy, but Chelsea are easily the most enjoyable side to watch in the Prem so far this year. What a turn around from just a few months ago.

Seconded. It was a treat to watch them today.

Of course you know them now. Like I said if you are as old as your posts indicate I bet you didn't back then.

You can't "feint" with once your foot is in a shooting motion on a PK, nor can you move back to restart your run. Nani's stutter could have been called back had it gone in, but it would have been an iffy decision by the ref. The rule allows for referee's judgment on the legality of a penalty taker's feint.
