Not very impressed with this hire. They waited too long on Tuchel and he moved on after they spent months trying to convince Jupp to stay another year. They ended up with a good ole boy hire. His teams are very defensive which may be out of necessity but that would be a real shame after watching Jupp cuck the world with beautiful modern soccer.

He's done a very good job at Frankfurt, getting them in contention for a CL spot.

Who did you want, Hendo? I know Nagelsmann was being talked about.

Tuchel is a great tactician, but I feel like he would have made it FC Hollywood x 10...Bild would have had a field day

There weren’t a ton of great options out there, and they played it safe. We’ll see how it turns out. Like the hire but don’t love it.

There is no better soccer mind in Europe than Thomas Tuchel.

Would've liked Nagelsmann too. I think they just played it ultra safe after Ancelotti burned them.

Bayern will be solid as always but they won’t be overly exciting. Frankfurt don’t make you say wow when you watch them.

I think he's a really smart guy and a good manager. I just don't like that it seems like KHR and Uli are reverting back to "family hires." I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I'm just skeptical for now.

I think he’s up there with the best, agreed...he just also comes with baggage and emotions

Isn’t Tuchel going to replace Emery at PSG?

If Bayern wouldn't have drug their feet for months trying to convince Jupp to come back when he kept saying no, they could've easily gotten Tuchel

Makes sense. Tuchel at Bayern would’ve been flames.
