If you're saying that from an existing MLS team standpoint, then I guess I'm a little cOnfused? Columbus could be one, but that's not more interesting than KC. Detroit or milwaukee would be the obvious, but they don't have teams. I suppose either the revs or red bulls for the 'Irish' town rivalry- I guess Philly would work there too. Not sure those are anymore natural than KC. Who would you suggest? What other clubs entered the league same time as the Fire?

Have they actually showed any other games? I am cooking so I haven't paid close attention but every time I look up its Montreal, I haven't seen anyone else.

They should at least just jump around at scoring chances. I don't care if they are delayed by a minute.

Just curious, as a casual observer, what European league would you roughly equivalate to MLS? The eredivisie? Or is there not a rough equivalent?

I'm no expert but I think on a starters vs. starters basis, MLS would do well against teams in The Championship in England. However, during a season, the lack of depth of an MLS team would prove to be a liability. I don't watch enough of the less-popular Euro leagues to have an informed opinion, though.
Oh, and of course, MLS = Champions of Europe!!!!

Top to bottom I don't really know, seems like the MLS usually has one or two pretty fricking awful teams. The best teams are pretty decent, as proven by recent transfers from MLS to euro leagues. I don't know much about lesser known euro leagues, but I usually watch a 2nd bundesliga match a week and I can tell you that there are some genuinely bad teams in that league. The winner is typically pretty good, but I don't see why the better MLS clubs wouldn't have comparable success in terms of relative table position

Just my opinion, but I think our best teams would be at best middle of the road over there.
I don't watch much euro games anymore, but any time I do the difference is pretty obvious.
But I still enjoy the MLS and enjoy watching it grow.
