I see what I did wrong... 2/3 are unavailable whatever that means. But there is one where you can select # of tickets.

Here is what I get:

So, there is a resale markup and a fee for the system by the looks of it. What would be $280 for 2 tickets in the random selector draw becomes $408 through this process - and that's just for now.

Funny that it said currently unavailable for category 3 for that match when I looked and the lower-end price was not that... did you just click through anyway despite the 'unavailable' status and it works?

Yeah.

For that one I added just one ticket to see. Other times I added 4 and two were one price and two were a higher price.

Its def something you will have to play around with. But I also ran out of time and it sent me back to the waiting room. I wasn't ready to purchase but just keep that in mind if you are going to look around at the different matches.

Why isn't yours showing the resale price? They're $175 for me each, but it acknowledges they'd normally be $140.

I think because it's the same price?

If you look at the other screen shot I posted it shows it because the tickets are $800.

Actually, it is showing the resale price. What it's not showing is original ticket price. Maybe because they are the same.

This same order is now $299 total. The resale price of the tickets shows $130, which is less than the $140/ea. they were in the random selector draw. It's only the $39 additional resale facilitation fee now... but we want to see if we win on Spain/Saudi Arabia.

We may get these ... there is a message that seems to indicate if you get more than 1 ticket your seats may not even be near each other, WTF!?

And I canceled because just that... says they might not even be in the same location of the stadium.

This is such a joke.

I at least think if we win the Spain/Saudi lottery our 2 tickets would be together..

Does anyone know if the random selector draw results would give you two seats side-by-side if you requested 2 tickets to a specific match?

It seems that when trying to buy 2 tickets for the same match in the marketplace there is a warning that you may not even get seats in the same section of the stadium for the same category of ticket!

I don’t recall. I just remember reading if you select a team to follow they will seat you near other fans of the team.

I was trying to see what the difference was selecting between team and random selection.

I think they also asked for family members fifa Id or number and they will try and get you tickets close together.

This was under their FAQ.

quote:

Yes, you can request to be seated together using the “Sit Together” functionality in your FIFA ticketing account, either during the ticket purchasing step of the Random Selection Draw or afterward by accessing your FIFA ticketing account. As communicated at the time of purchase, seating assignments for tickets successfully purchased during the Random Selection Draw will be made at a later stage. Please note the following:

FIFA Ticketing attempts, but does not guarantee, to seat together multiple tickets for a match that you purchase within a single transaction that are in the same ticket category in your ticketing account at the time of seat assignment. For specific details, please refer to Clause 3.3 of the Ticket Terms of Sale for General Public.

A pre-condition for being seated together is that all ticket applications must be for the same matches, ticket products and categories.

The “Sit Together” functionality is only applicable when you are requesting to sit with individuals who have made different transactions.

Reading that, you might not get the tickets requested together but you can try and get tickets together with someone who also did a request.

Making shite more complicated than it should be.

LINK for that

Here is section 3

quote:

3. Ticket Categories

3.1. Tickets are assigned to and sold in different price categories (“Ticket Category”). Each Ticket Category is determined based on the location and other characteristics of the seats and sections in the official stadium assigned to that Ticket Category for the relevant Match (“Stadium”). Seats are assigned within each Stadium to a Ticket Category on a Match-by- Match basis. The number of seats allocated to each Ticket Category and the boundaries of each Ticket Category within a Stadium may change from Match to Match and are determined by FIFA Ticketing at its sole discretion.

3.2. A particular Ticket Category may comprise seats in different tiers of a Stadium (such as lower and upper tiers). Seats within a Ticket Category may also be located adjacent to seats of another Ticket Category. Any visual representations of Ticket Categories on the Ticketing Website, such as Stadium maps and illustrations, are for guidance purposes only and may not reflect the actual layout and boundaries of a particular Stadium. FIFA Ticketing reserves the right to assign you a seat within an alternative Ticket Category that is comparable to or better than the initial Ticket Category, in our sole and reasonable discretion.

3.3. FIFA Ticketing shall assign each Ticket within a Ticket Category to a specific seat in the Stadium. Seat assignment may be made at a time determined by FIFA Ticketing, including prior to or after a Ticket purchase. FIFA Ticketing attempts, but does not guarantee, to seat together multiple Tickets for a Match that you purchase within a single transaction that are in the same Ticket Category in your Ticketing Account (as defined below) at the time of seat assignment. However, your assigned seats may not be adjacent or near one another and seats assigned within the same Ticket Category may be located in different rows, sections or locations in the Stadium. For some Stadiums and Matches, you may have the opportunity to request to be seated near Tickets purchased under a different Ticketing Account if all Tickets are within the same Ticket Category for a Match. This option may be made available by FIFA Ticketing at certain times prior to the Competition. If this option is made available to you in your Ticketing Account we will request information to identify the other Ticketing Account and relevant Tickets in order to review the request. FIFA Ticketing does not guarantee that it can fulfil your request.

3.4. The seat FIFA Ticketing assigns to your Ticket(s) may be relocated in FIFA Ticketing’s sole discretion at any time, and no such relocation shall entitle you to a refund or any other remedy from FIFA Ticketing provided that your seat is relocated to either (i) an area of the Stadium allocated to the same or better Ticket Category, or if not applicable, (ii) a seat of comparable or better value.

3.5. FIFA Ticketing may offer a sales phase(s) prior to the start of the Competition and during the Competition during which sale phase(s) available Tickets are sold by seat number and not Ticket Category. You should review the seat selections carefully prior to purchase, as adjacent, consecutive available seats may not be available and, once purchased, cannot be changed by you

To me, it read that you use the 'sit together' feature if for instance you have friends requesting tickets to the same exact match. But otherwise if you're like me and asked for 2 tickets to one specific match, in the same category, they try - but cannot guarantee-, that the seats will be together.

Outside of trying, it is possible you have tickets completely opposite sides of the stadium but both category 3...

Sounds awful...

Yeah, this is some bs. What if you were taking your young child?

You could end up in different sections?

I honestly thought category 3 would just be upper sections of the stadium, seems like you could end up anywhere really.

I can’t figure it out. I keep getting an error when trying to checkout. I figured I’d at least get some tickets in Houston for the Cabo verde game but it just won’t let me finish the check out and then says technical error.

You have to scroll up and enter your credit card info. It's not obvious and a little confusing.

Cheapest ticket I could find for Atlanta was $299 total for 2 for IC Playoff vs. Uzbekistan. Checked again today and it was around $370.

Thought about sniping it yesterday but waiting for results of lottery... not really thrilled about a Saturday night match with DR Congo vs. Uzbekistan and the need to have to find an expensive hotel to do so.

Anyone that is going to Atlanta know a good strategy for matchday parking, etc.?

If we win Spain/Saudi lottery... we plan to drive there Sunday AM, but I have no clue what to expect for traffic. It's typically 3 hr 20 mins to Atlanta... probably want to be around the stadium by 11 AM at latest.. I am hoping that 6 AM - 7 AM start to the day will suffice. Completely unsure how far we'll have to park from the stadium though and then how quick it'd be to get down there.

I find it funny the tickets for disabled are way more expensive.

You basically getting ripped off even more by being in a wheelchair.

I did find it easier to log in today. No waiting in the queue.

I may end up just doing the Uzbekistan game. It's so cheap because the potential opponents are your iraqs and suriname types.

Also notice price level differences in the categories.

My assumption is if you buy these two tickets you won't be together. How can one seat be original priced at $256.88 and the one next to you $140?

Or are those tickets one's people bought on the marketplace and are now reselling for even more?

I guess it depends on where you are staying.

I plan on staying at a buddies and just uber or something. When I was there for an LSU game we just took scooters to the stadium down the beltway.

There is also Marta. When I lived there I took it to every Braves game I went to. Would just park at the marta station.

We are probably just driving in the morning of Sunday, June 21 for the 12 PM match. Really have no idea what to expect for traffic in that case...

Still playing around with it. Check this one. Resale price lower than original price.

Atlanta has bad traffic on regular days.

If you really want to park id look up parking passes. They have parking all around the stadium.

FIFA has faced fierce criticism, especially in Europe, for its World Cup ticket pricing strategy that includes so-called "dynamic pricing" and acting as its own resale platform.

The third phase of ticket sales began last Friday, with fans able to request tickets for specific matchups for the first time following the Dec. 5 tournament draw.

A list published by the German Football Association revealed prices ranged from $180 to $700 for varying group stage games. The English Football Association shared pricing information with the England Supporters Travel Club (ESTC), which showed that if a fan bought a ticket for every game through to the final it would cost just over $7,000.

Fan organization Football Supporters Europe (FSE) described the prices as "extortionate" and called on FIFA to immediately halt ticket sales via national associations "until a solution that respects the tradition, universality, and cultural significance of the World Cup is found."

FIFA said Tuesday it had received more than 20 million ticket requests during what it calls the "random selection draw" phase.

The third phase of sales runs through Jan. 13, 2026, with successful applicants set be notified by email in February and charged automatically.
